Did you know today is National Shrimp Scampi Day along with “Worded” Wednesday? This is one of the easiest meals to prepare. I saute’ shrimp in olive oil and butter with a little garlic then add seasoning to your liking. You can also add a bit of wine. After the shrimp is cooked and slightly browned I stir in a small amount of butter with lemon juice and either broccoli or parsley. It’s bacon time and when bacon goes on sale, I stock up. Last week it was on sale for $3.99 for a full pound, not the 12 oz. packages! But the downside is it takes me a long time to go through a pound of bacon so I came up with a way to freeze the strips individually. Since I use bacon pieces in my omelettes, fried with cabbage, my one pan wonder meals and salads, it’s easier to cut the strips in half before freezing it. I can then
