What do you get when you put a roast, four potatoes, and one onion covered with gravy in the oven? You get a delicious meal for two people with leftovers under $5! BiLo had boneless chuck roast beef on sale for $5.99 per pound but the package also had a $4.00 off coupon attached! The regular price for meat was $9.02, after sale price was $7.73 but after I used the coupon, it only cost $3.73! It weighed about a 1 1/4 pounds which was plenty for hubby and I.
It’s been almost 8 weeks since we planted our backyard raised bed garden and the vegetables are growing great! The weather in South Carolina is in the 90’s already and the heat index is over 100 degrees so hubby is giving the plants extra water when the sun goes down. We have just about picked all the lettuce so I’m thinking of planting more when it gets closer to fall so we can have a late crop of lettuce. We sure got a lot of salads from our lettuce plants
