National Make a Dog’s Day

Mom, today is National Make a Dog’s Day! Does that mean I get extra ice cream tonight?

Snowball was not adopted at a shelter but once we saw him at the breeder we fell in love with him. Lia was about 2 1/2 and as soon as their eyes met this 8 week old puppy became a member of our family.

Even though Snowball was a family dog, Lia always said he was her dog. Whether playing, sleeping, dancing or just riding in the car, the two were always together.

As soon as Lia got Snowball used to the ocean, he was hooked on the water. Even walking around the block, Snowball is excited to be out running with Lia. A good way for both to get exercise!

Since Lia moved to Indiana Snowball is back to being my dog until Lia visits. He is the sweetest little guy and even knows when someone is having a bad day. He comes up and cuddles with Lia or me. They say a dog is a man’s best friend, well Snowball is Lia’s and my best friend.

It might be National Make a Dog’s Day but Snowball makes my day. he is the most loyal and lovable dog!
National Nut Day

Since it’s also National Nut Day and I mentioned about my Nutty Bar in a blog the other day with my Chai Tea drinks, I thought I would share my blog I wrote back in April about my Nutty Bar for those who might have missed it!

When company comes over they have the choice of ice cream sundaes, milk shakes, frappes, hot cocoa or tea and so much more. The only thing I don’t serve is coffee so I tell people the have to bring their own. LOL The cabinet is loaded with all kinds of sprinkles, syrups, nuts and even biscotti biscuits!
I hope you enjoyed about National Make a Dog’s Day and National Nut Day! I think today is the perfect day for Snowball and I to have ice cream tonight!
