Welcome to the Nutty Bar

When I had the computer hutch in the front room, I made a double shelf on the top using an old mirror and 4 large mason jars filled with decorative pea stones. But when I removed the hutch and painted that room I took the shelves down. Now I had 4 mason jars to come up with an idea for them. My first thought was to use them to store nuts and dried cranberries. I make my own trail mix and now I have the nuts and cranberries right at my fingertips. The other nice thing about storing them in jars, I can see when they are running low so I know when it’s time to head to Costco to restock. The cabinet near the kitchen/eating area was the perfect spot to store my nut jars and the embroidered table scarf was made by my mother probably 80 – 90 years ago. But it didn’t stop there……

Of course most of you know how my brain works, I make a small change and then it turns into something more. Since I had an empty cabinet I decided to store all my tea and cocoa in the drawer. (Now I have an extra cupboard to figure out what I put there) Everything fit perfect and easy to get to.

Since my tea and cocoa were here I need my cups handy too. So I moved my cup carousel to the top of the cabinet.

I get carried away with toppings on my cocoa and chai tea so I decided to move Lia’s sprinkles too! I had a tray the perfect size to hold a variety of sprinkles.

What is going on the bottom shelf? It didn’t take me long to fill that with my extra cartons of tea, my flavored syrups and favorite snacks to go with the drinks.

My Nutty Bar is ready and I’m set to serve hot cocoa, hot or cold tea, cream frappe, ice cream sodas and milk shakes and even ice cream sundaes. I am not a coffee drinker so I tell my friends if they want coffee they need to bring their own. LOL

When I rearrange or come up with new ideas I like to do it without having to buy anything and I had everything already here to my beverage area.

LOL Tamara, I came up with that name when I was just going to have my jars of nuts on the cabinet but like always, one thing led to another. I thought the name was fitting since I’m a bit nutty at times!

Your nutty bar looks super cool and very organized. I love eating different nuts for their health benefits. Sadly, I have an allergy to some types.

I love these ideas for storage! I get carried away with toppings too. I love vegan whipped cream!

My neighbor gave me the little containers with the green lids for Lia’s sprinkles. They are from some kind of coffee creamer. I love that I thought of using the large jars for nuts, it’s easy to see how many are left.
