Mom’s Mother’s Day Poem

I’ve been missing my mom since she passed away in 2000 but all the memories of the past, forever in our hearts will last. Mom has sent down signs to let us know she is still with us and and guiding us along life’s path. This is mom’s Mother’s Day poem I wrote for her this year.

A Poem for Mom

I miss you mom more than you know, I wish you didn’t have to go. I know you’re watching from above, the cardinals stop and bring your love.

I catch the pennies you send our way, I just found two the other day. I pick them up and look above, for when I do I feel your love.

The flowers in your garden bloom, they help to take away the gloom. I do not see you everyday, but memories in my heart will stay.

I love you Mom and miss you so, but there comes a time when we must go. We’ll meet again at Heaven’s Gate, until that time we both shall wait.

When mom passed away in 2000, we made her a memory garden. Mom loved flowers and over the years the garden became overgrown so we updated it this year in time for Mother’s Day. I know she would be very happy to see all her beautiful flowers.

When I find a penny on the ground, I pick it up and look above, thanking mom for sending love. I have been saving them and I made a Pennies from Heaven plaque lined with dried rosebuds from our garden. A reminder of mom’s love.

Happy Mothers Day to all the mom’s and those who take on the role of mom!

My mom loved flowers and this is my way to show my love and remember what a fine mother she was. Just going out in the yard in the morning, it’s so peaceful standing surrounded by flowers and knowing that mom is looking down smiling. Yes, you and I both know about signs our loved ones send and I know they are letting us know they are still with us. Happy Mother’s Day to you too Brenda, you are a dear friend indeed.

So do I Roy, that way I know she is watching over us. Now if she carried to toss down some bills, that would be fine too but I think the wind would carry them away. LOL
