Y is for Yogurt

Y is for Yogurt

The A to Z Challenge is nearing the end, one more letter after Y is for Yogurt!    It was a toss up to write about Yams or Yogurt because I love them both but I didn’t have any yams to take pictures of so Yogurt it is! Yogurt is a dairy product made by fermenting milk using one or more varieties of bacteria, but it is “good for you bacteria”.  Yogurt can help regulate your digestion and strengthen your immune system. It’s also loaded with vitamins and calcium.  not all brands are the same so if you are eating yogurt for your health, you will want to read the label to find what the calories are plus fat, protein, sugar, calcium and vitamin D amounts.
Yogurt has come a long way since the basic yogurt. Now you can get yogurt with cookie bits or fruit mixed in, you can get thinner yogurt that you can drink on the go or while exercising  and others are made with honey instead of sugar.

I like the new Greek Yogurt which is rich and creamy.  One of my favorite Greek Yogurts is Yoplait Greek Yogurt. I especially like the Coconut flavored.

I found another new yogurt that I absolute love!  Muller Corner has many great flavors but one in particular is the best!  It’s vanilla yogurt with dark chocolate shavings on one side of the container and on the other side it has a raspberry sauce.  You can either scoop the yogurt and dip in the raspberry or mix them together. Either way, it is delicious!

For the bloggers that are familiar with my writings, you know I love to brag about my grandchildren.  Now you’re probably wondering what bragging about my grandchildren has to do with yogurt.  If there’s a way to brag, I’ll find it!

My oldest grandson is a model and also does TV commercials.  Dannon Oikos makes a delicious yogurt and CJ was the yogurt in this commercial! Gotta love the grandchildren!

I hope you have enjoyed reading Y is for Yogurt and watching the video.  One more day in the A to Z Challenge and it’s been fun thinking of words for each letter of the alphabet.  Tag me if you are taking this challenge so I can read your post!

Oh Nick, I forgot about yogurt covered peanuts and raisins! Some yogurts leave a bad taste but I’m loving the ones that have separate fruit cups. Thanks for stopping by.

I don’t actually like flavoured yoghurts but the advert was cute!

    • Martha says:

Some of the flavored yogurts I’m not fond of but I do like the new flavors of the one in the divided container. Thanks for stopping by Bill.

I love yogurt! Yogurt is yummy. Today, I made a smoothie. The ingredients were: old soft strawberries, one pear (slightly soft), apple cider, and one eight-ounce container of plain Greek yogurt.

    • Martha says:

OMG, that sounds delicious Alice! I like to add yogurt to my smoothies also, makes the extra smooth! Thanks for stopping by, now I want a smoothie with the fresh strawberries we just got at the farmers market.

  5. Martha, I love that you wrote about yogurt. I love yogurt! I used to make my own yogurt in my college room. Now where are you that you have Muller Corner yogurt? That’s a new brand to me. I also love that you included your grandson’s yogurt-modeling job, which sounds weird until you see the video. He’s gorgeous, and I hope he goes far! Blessings–

Kebba, I’m in South Carolina and I’ve just found the Muller in the past few months, I love it! This post wouldn’t have been complete without me bragging in some way about my grandson. LOL He travels the world modeling plus he has an awesome blog and is big into health and fitness. His blog is awesome! If it wasn’t for him, I would have never started my blog! Thanks for stopping in

  6. I used to love this Dannon yogurt from way back when! It was called Pina Colada and I don’t even know if they still make it, but I used to love it. I discovered it right before college and then ate it all four years. Anyway, congrats to your grandson! I know you are super proud. 🙂

    • Martha says:

The still have the Pina Colada Jeanine! That’s one of my favorites also, I love the coconut/pineapple combination. Just a little super proud of CJ! LOL But hey, grammas have bragging rights. Thanks for stopping by.

  7. Alexandra says:

I love those yogurts with the corner of candy to mix in 😁😁

    • Martha says:

Oh I’ve missed those Alexandra! My favorite is with the chocolate shavings and raspberry topping. Thanks for trying my yogurt!
