Where My Blog Will Be in The Future

 

Here we are on Day 3 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge and once again I will use the suggested topic for my blog today.   Yesterday the topic was How I Got Started At Blogging 

Today the topic is: Where My Blog Will Be in The Future.  I think I need to come up with a long-term plan and what better time to start walking down the path to the future.

The first goal I would like is to increase my viewers and increase the number of Unique Views on my blog. For those that are new to blogging and not sure of Page Views or Unique Views, here is a description:

If a user visits the same page multiple times within a single session, each viewing of the page will add to its page view count.   If a user views the same page more than once in a session, this will only count as a single unique page view.

By increasing my viewers, that would also increase my Unique Views which in turn would help me when I do Blog Ops and my affiliate links.  That brings me to the next goal I would like to see grow and that is my list of Affiliate sites.  For having my blog less than two years, I am happy with the Affiliate sites that I currently have but I’m always searching for more. I don’t sign up for everything Affiliate link I see, I pick and chose to make sure it’s a company or product that fits in my blog.  As for Blog Ops, I’m doing fairly well on those and seems like when I get accepted and complete one, there is another one waiting in the wings. Sometimes they seem few and far between but again, I’m not spending time working on them, but that will be something I want to grow.

When I started blogging, it was mainly for product review items and most were on the low priced end. Since companies have read my blog reviews, they are now contacting me and asking if I would like to review their products and some are very nice, high priced items like the ones pictured above.  The better the blog is written, the more companies will notice.

Of course I still see me offering money saving tips,  deals and freebies,  and delicious, healthy meals at a low cost.  I enjoy helping people and these are some of the ways I can share with others.

One thing that I have been working on with my granddaughter that really isn’t blog related but we came up with the idea after her and I were coming up with our meals and recipes.  We plan to make a cookbook with some of the meals that I have posted about in my blogs.

I’m always thinking and trying to come up with new ideas and one of the reasons is because I feel that no matter what your age, a person can still learn and excel.   These are some of the goals I hope to achieve and where my blog will be in the future.

My motto has always been, “If you want to explore deeper oceans, you first have to leave sight of the shore” and this is perfect for when I plan my future goals.

Have you thought of your long term goals or do you go day by day? It’s exciting to think ahead and since I like to “think outside the box”, I’m looking forward to my goals become a reality within a few years by the time I turn 70 years old and grow up.
