What’s On My Desk Right Now

What’s On My Desk Right Now

Today’s blog is going to be fun!  It’s Day 25 and if you add 2+5 you get 7.  Today’s suggested blog topic is about 7 ideas and one of the titles to pick from is What’s On My Desk Right Now.  Now normally my desk would be piled high with so much stuff I can’t even see the top of the desk.  However just the other day, I cleaned it off!

The main thing on my desk is my monitor and mouse.  The keyboard is on the slide out shelf right under the desk top. You may have realized from some of my other blogs, I’m a big sentimental and hang on to memories from the grands.  While cleaning out my desk, I found a note that was written by my now 22-year-old granddaughter.  She would write in a code style but I was able to figure it out!  It’s these little memories that I love and will always hold on to.

On the left side I have tape, stapler and pencil sharpener plus I also have the modem.   Now doesn’t every one have a pink Harley Davidson lamp on their desk?

On the right side I have a little box with a Loon on the front for paperclips or other small items.  There is a small bottle of air freshener that smells like apples!  Do you see the round disk that says “Harrah’s” on it?  I got that the first trip to Cherokee in 2015 and there is a tee-shirt in the little box!  Hubby also got one and we opened his box and decided to keep the other one as is.  The paper weight with the picture in it is my favorite photo of my hubby when he was about 2 or 3 years old.

That’s what’s on my desk right now but I have another reason to write about 2+5 = 7!   Hubby and I have 5 GREAT grandchildren but we have 2 more on the way!  So there is my lucky number 7 popping up again!   Our oldest granddaughter has 2 adorable children, 10-year-old Logan and 6-year-old Ayva.  Her sister has 2 boys, 4-year-old Noah and 2-year-old Alek.  Then there is our other granddaughter with her 2 month old daughter, Lia.

Our oldest grandson and his wife are expecting a girl in January and his brother and his sweetie will be introducing their baby boy in March.  What better way to have my 2+5 = 7 for today’s blog topic!!

I started my blog on Christmas Day 2014 mainly to review products I received. Since then it has evolved into many other categories of lifestyles, family, money saving ideas, low cost, delicious and healthy meals plus other surprise posts. My granddaughter has her own category, Alex's Articles and the latest addition to my blog is my great granddaughter now has her category, Lia's Likings The Baby Blogger! Lia started blogger at 8 months old and she now has a Friday Story Time blog you won't want to miss! I welcome you to join the conversation, ask a question, give a suggestion or leave a comment on any blog post. I hope you enjoy Lia's Likings, she has some great posts that will make you smile!

Mine usually is too Roy but I am trying real hard to purge and re-organize everything, room by room. Have you heard the saying, I cluttered desk is the sign of a genius? 🙂

Hi Martha, you are truly blessed.
So far I have only one grand child and I cannot wait until I see her at Christmas.
Until then it is only weekly facetime calls.
It is amazing to see how much she changes from week to week.
    Blog On!

Isn’t Facetime and the other apps like that great Doug? We can still get to keep in close touch and see and hear our grandchildren. We just can’t get the hugs! I can’t get over of the daily and weekly changes. It’s just so wonderful to watch our children’s children do things that they did years ago! Hope to see Christmas pictures of your precious grand!

Those old dorky notes bring back so many wonderful memories Alexandra. Just wait until Lia starts writing “dorky notes”, you will then know how much they mean. Love you bunches!!

  4. Congratulations on your family…and also the clean desk…that is no simple feat!

Thanks Jennifer, I’m trying to turn over a new image and have purge things that aren’t needed and re-organize in my next chapter! We will see how long it lasts!
