WHAT HAPPENED TODAY IN HISTORY

I thought it was interesting to find that today, Monday, April 16th is the 106th day of the year when it’s not a leap year and it’s more likely to fall on a Monday, Thursday or Saturday.  I found some fun history facts about what happened today in history.

While searching for this date in history, this is some of what I found:

April 16th also has some great Music history:

Buddy Holly had some great songs in his short life, have you listened to “Blue Days, Black Nights”?

It’s interesting to check “what happened when” to see if I remember any of them Jeanine. Percy must have written that song for my hubby!

  2. I forgot about the Blacksburg murders. In Virginia, it was all over the place!
You know what else is famous about 16 April? This year the Boston Marathon was won by a woman!

I like to check back on “what happened when in history” Roy. While your forgot about Blacksburg, I forgot about the Boston Marathon, even though I watched it! Thanks for traveling back through time with me.
