Videos for Wordless Wednesday
Today I’m sharing some videos for Wordless Wednesday along with some photographs. I took Lia to Wonder Works the other day and she had such a fun time. For those of you who don’t know about Wonder Works it is considered an indoor amusement park with over 40,000 square feet of so many interactive hands on exhibits for children of all ages to do. It is called edu-tainment because the exhibits are educational so while they are having fun, they can also be learning. I have to give them titles even though it’s Wordless Wednesday so you will see what each one is about. These are just a few of the exciting things that Lia did.
Rope Course
The rope course is up to 36 feet high, that’s three stories!
Lia harnessed up and started climbing to the top obstacles while I stayed down below holding my breath!
How about laying on a bed of nails?
This exhibit shows how people get struck by lightening! Notice I didn’t try any of these! LOL
Lia could have stayed on the Magic AI board all day! You draw something on the smaller pad and it turns it into an AI drawing!
How about an almost three foot diameter bubble wand?
These were just a small part of the fun that Lia had on Wonder Works!
More Swimming
After we got home from Wonder Works we spent the afternoon at the pool where Lia surprised me once again. She did both a front AND back somersault under water!
Lia has been visiting for four weeks and she goes back home to Indiana on Saturday. We had so much fun, did so many field trips, baking and projects but the time went way too quick!

The rope course being all high up gives me anxiety though. Good for Lia for being so courageous!
Well you noticed I wasn’t up there Tamara! I was getting dizzy just looking up taking pictures! LOL I think Lia takes after Uncle Zac with her courageous, no fear attitude!
So much to do and so much variety – I especially enjoyed the video – marvellous 🤩 Martha!

Using videos for Wordless Wednesday is such a clever idea, Martha! Technically, they’re still wordless, so I think you’re safely within the rules! 😅 A short video can preserve the movement and feeling of a moment in a way one photograph sometimes can’t. Do you usually reach for your camera or the video button first? By the way, brave Lia! I am afraid of heights, so walking on a rope would be a no-no for me! But I LOVE a swimming pool. 🤩
I always have my phone ready to snap still shots but lately I’ve been doing more videos because I can make still pictures free sections of the videos Daniela. I have a Google Pixel 6 (yes it’s an old one) and very easy to slide the button to video or back to still shots. As for heights, count me in for being afraid also but it’s like Lia has no fear of anything!
What a great place. I love the idea that it’s an educational amusement facility.
Just one question: is that a real person being struck by lightning?
I love the educational idea also Barbara. The children can play and learn at the same time. The person being struck by lightning is Lia! The have a fire proof hand and arm cover and not sure how it works but the electrical current hits the cover but you don’t feel it!
Wow, what fun! Lucky Lia. So much stuff for kids to do nowadays. I am envious.
I think that’s why kids are so smart these days Lily! They aren’t afraid of anything and willing to try everything.
Martha, wowee! Wonder Works sounds like a well-planned entertainment venue! How wonderful Lia has been with you for a month, Plenty of time for you two to get into trouble together! <3
This was my first trip to Wonder Works Kebba and was amazed at all the different educational stations that had! Definitely worth the money. Who get in trouble, Lia and ma?? Na! LOL But we sure did have an excited time while she was here. And she told me the other day that she liked my camp better than last year’s YMCA camp!
Looks like a fun time. 🙂
