Time for the July 2026 UBC

For some reason the time keeps going by faster and faster. Seems like the April challenge just ended and here were are just in time for the July 2026 UBC.
Once again I’m looking forward to meeting up with the previous Ultimate Blog Challenge participants and welcoming some new ones. I joined this great challenge in January 2016 and this will be my 43rd consecutive UBC.

I’m super excited because Lia is visiting again. She was down for two weeks in early June and now she’s back for the next four weeks so she should have some great stories to write about. Also Snowball may post at times to let you know about his adventures.
On the way back to meet mommy in Knoxville, there was a detour and then on the detour there was a traffic back up. We were in stand still traffic for over an hour! But we made the most of it, we saw so many beautiful wild flowers and butterflies. As we crept along, I noticed the Welcome to Tennessee sign a ways up from the car.

I asked Lia if she wanted to run from North Carolina to Tennessee! We had plenty of time but Stevie said if traffic got moving he would pick us up at the sign. So Lia and I jump out of the car and ran all the way to Tennessee. LOL Of course all the people in the other cars probably thought we were a bit crazy but it gave us something to do.
Stay tuned for more wild and crazy stories and also some new recipes I’ve made. As always I’m sharing a poem I wrote years back for the start of the blog challenge. So get your fingers ready and start tapping those keys for the next 31 days!

Since it’s also Wordless Wednesday I’m sharing a heart in the sky photo I took when we were taking Lia back in June. We just got our of our slow down and detour it in started to pour. It ended quickly and the sun came out. Then I saw this beautiful heart in the middle of the blue sky.

Pop was watching over us.
