Summer Vacation is Over

Today is my last Friday Story Time by Lia for the July Ultimate Blog Challenge. What an awesome time I’ve had over the past four weeks spending time with daddy, grandma and grandpa, my aunts and uncles and little cousins and of course Ma! But now summer vacation is over and I’ll be heading back to Indiana tomorrow to get ready for school.

Ma and I went on so many fun field trips, beach trips, swimming with my friend Alexis, baking, painting, gardening and just hanging around with Snowball and my and ma’s friends.

Yesterday, July 23rd was a month before my 8th birthday and Ma decided to invite some neighbors and friends to get together at the pool for the end of my vacation and a month early birthday cake. I love working with ChatGPT so Ma and I made a thank you invitation to send out.

After the invitation was done, we printed it on heavy paper and had everyone sign it and I will keep it so I won’t forget my awesome vacation and friends.

Look at my delicious confetti ice cream cake! I love ice cream cakes and everyone else loved it too.

My friend Ms. DyeAnn gave me a gift bag with a coloring book so I’ll have something to do tomorrow on my 7 hour drive to meet mommy in Knoxville Tennessee and then head back home to Indiana.

This is my new best friend who lives down the street and we have had so much fun swimming most every day plus a few other neighbors. Ma was so busy she forgot to take pictures of everyone!

The month went by so fast and I had such a great time. After we got back to the house I was so tired and Snowball crawled up on the couch with me while I waited for daddy to come over to Ma’s. School starts the week after I get back home and I’m excited to see if any of my 2nd grade friends will be in my 3rd grad class.
