Snowball and Buddy
Yesterday I had my neighbor’s dog over to try to get Snowball and Buddy to be playmates. This is usually Silly Saturday but I’m changing it to Smiling Saturday and hope this pictures make you smile.

We’ve been trying to get them to be friends but both have had their own ideas. When they see each other from the front door, they both bark like they are saying “I’m the boss”. But when I take them for walks they are great, marching along like best friends.
When our walk was over, they both sat waiting for their treats. I had them leased up until this point. Then I decided to unleash them as see what happens. They were cautious with each other, trying to decide if they wanted to be friends or who wanted to be boss.

I took them outside with their leashes on but dropped them so they could roam. I stayed close so I could step on the leash if one got too close to the other but they seemed fine. Next I unleashed them and they each went their own way!
After about 15 minutes of Snowball and Buddy checking things out, Snowball wanted to play ball. I would throw it and he would bring it back to me. One trip he was running back with it as Buddy watched and he dropped as if to say, “Come on Buddy get the ball” but Buddy just looked at it and walked away.

We came inside and both checked out the front yard then Buddy got on one end of the couch and Snowball took the other. It was so sweet to see them tolerating each other so quickly.

Within a few minutes, Buddy was fast asleep while Snowball was on guard for I don’t know what. He fell asleep shortly. When Buddy’s daddy came to the door, they both jumped up from their nap. I had a fun morning with Snowball and Buddy and hope they continue to have fun play days!
I hope Snowball and Buddy’s escapades give you a few smiles and wishing you a fun filled Saturday.
