Question Time Ask Away

Question Time Ask Away

I’m chipping away on the Ultimate Blog Challenge and today’s suggestion from the host is a fun one, it’s question time ask away.

Last night was the second Presidential Candidates Debate and the two candidates of the major parties debated each other and addressed the issues and questions in a town hall format They even allowed questions from the audience as well as via Social Media.

So for the Ultimate Blog Challenge today, I’m asking my readers to ask a question in the comment section and I will answer it the best I can.  It can be something about our work, something from a past blog or maybe even a question that will make me think.

It’s time to put your thinking cap on and think up something to ask me. I’m looking forward to reading your questions and hopefully coming up with a good answer!

Are you thinking? Ask away, it will be fun to see what questions I get!

I started my blog on Christmas Day 2014 mainly to review products I received. Since then it has evolved into many other categories of lifestyles, family, money saving ideas, low cost, delicious and healthy meals plus other surprise posts. My granddaughter has her own category, Alex's Articles and the latest addition to my blog is my great granddaughter now has her category, Lia's Likings The Baby Blogger! Lia started blogger at 8 months old and she now has a Friday Story Time blog you won't want to miss! I welcome you to join the conversation, ask a question, give a suggestion or leave a comment on any blog post. I hope you enjoy Lia's Likings, she has some great posts that will make you smile!

Hi Martha, thank you for subscribing to my blog site. I am actually glad that today there is an opportunity to ask people questions. I am a new blogger, as you may have read my New Kid on the Blog memoir. So I just want to know how long have you been on the blog? What are your best moments?

    • Martha says:

I loved you New Kid on the Blog, very creative! I started blogging on Christmas day 2014, so I’m still sorta a newbie, blogging 22 months. Gosh, I have so many best moments but the main one would be when I was talking with my oldest grandson on Christmas day and telling him I was thinking of starting a blog. He went and get his laptop and helped me set it up right then and there. He has been my mentor and has given me so much guidance along the way. Even though I’m 67 years old, I love to learn and being about to retain what I learn to help others is one of my best moments. Thanks for visiting and asking a question!

  2. So, my question is simple. What made you employ a photo of a Wisconsin Cheese Head for this questionable ( 🙂 ) blog? Especially when you don’t live there?

    • Martha says:

Well my answer is simple also Roy. When my granddaughter was in 2nd grade, they did a play about cheese. So what does that have to do with the picture? Well I asked my readers to put on their thinking caps and that was the only picture I had with any sort of a cap! LOL I really do like thinking outside the box! That was a great question, one I would have never thought of! Thanks for stopping by.

I love reading your posts! And this is a great one. So, my question is….. what is your FAVORITE thing about blogging?

    • Martha says:

Oh gosh Jennifer, that’s a tuffy question. Since I have so many favorites let me thing on that……………..Okay, I got it! My FAVORITE thing about blogging is all the other bloggers that I meet through reading my blog. It’s so great to connect with bloggers from all around the world, read about the different niches they have and also learn from them. When I started blogging December 2014, I never thought I would be where I am today, it was mostly for product reviews but quickly grew. When I read blogs that others post, I meet their family, get great tips, see beautiful photographs from everywhere and I’m even able to offer assistance when bloggers have a question. So while I love all aspects of blogging, even adding a bit of witty writings, my favorite are all the bloggers I have met. So glad I met you Jennifer! Thanks for stopping by with a question.

I was just about to ask what Roy asked… why do you have my school cheese costume picture on here?? 😭😂 lol! I thought it was first grade, but I really don’t remember what that play was supposed to be about.. lol were we all different kinds of cheeses? or were we all different foods and I was stuck being the cheese?? 😂 lol

    • Martha says:

LOL Alexandra, I never mentioned it was you………….but since you brought it up, like I mentioned to Roy, it was the only “cap” I had in my photos and since you are always thinking, it’s a thinking cap! Maybe it was 1st grade, I think it was about cheese because lots of the kiddos had cheese heads. Hey maybe that’s way you love cheese so much! Thanks for popping in with your cheezy grin. 🙂 <3

  5. Hi Martha. Great to have the opportunity to ask questions. I was wondering how your journey with blogging has evolved over time? Did you start on a free platform and then move on? Has your writing style changed? Have you developed a good following? I know, one question, but you know… lol

    • Martha says:

Great questions Jane! I had thought about blogging for some time but thought, how does an old one know where to begin. Christmas day 2014 when I mentioned to my oldest grandson I was thinking of starting a blog sometime, he went to get his laptop and said, “let’s do it now!” Since I did product reviews, I wanted one mainly for that. He helped me set up a free WordPress account and we went back and forth about names. He came up with The Martha Review because he said it sounded like a TV show! LOL For the next few months, I added different categories and little by little started writing about things other than product reviews. February 2015 grandson suggested I get my own domain name since it was more professional looking and there were no pop up ads. My writing style has basically stayed the same, I love adding humor into my blogs when it fits. I am steadily growing in followers but that is one thing I’d really like to expand even more. For blogging for not quite 2 years, I’m very happy with where I am in the blogging world and I’m also doubly excited that a 67 year old great grandma can still learn and retain what I’ve learned! Whew!!! I should have turned this into a blog!! LOL Thanks for stopping by with the great questions Jane.

  6. For my readers…Evidently your community caught only an edge of Hurricane Matthew. What are people there doing for those who survived the Real Hurricane?

    • Martha says:

Our area got hit bad, some worse than others. There is still major flooding and lots of trees down, both in roadways and on homes. Our power came back Monday afternoon but other areas are still without. People ban together in an emergency and help in any way they can, even if it’s taking sandwiches and water to the road crews trying to clean up. The one good thing, the residents took heed to our Governor and evacuated. Thanks for stopping by Priscilla.
