Prince Charming and his Princess
Ever since my 28 year old grandson was young, he had determination and drive. He was a cute and adventurous little boy who quickly grew up to a handsome young man with even more determination and drive.
From a country farm boy, CJ moved to New York City to pursue his modeling career which led him to many more wonderful life experiences.
Little did he know, but a beautiful young lady from California got a call and also moved to New York City. Achelle is the Global Artistic Director for E.L.F. Cosmetics and on July 22, 2013 CJ and Achelle formally met and seeing the two of them together reminded me of my hubby and me over 50 years ago, love at first sight.
I remember the first time hubby and I met Achelle in 2014 when her and CJ came to Myrtle Beach for a visit and she was as sweet as her photos. It was right then that I know she would some day be our granddaughter-in-law, just seeing how caring the two of them were together made my heart melt.
While we were all together, she showed me how to take a selfie! Both lead such busy lives but they always have time to send messages or call just to say hi. The other day CJ called and I thought it was a routine, “hi how are you and grandpa”, but it was so much more exciting. He announced that he proposed to Achelle! I was so excited to hear that Achelle will be our granddaughter!!
A magical day for a couple so sweet,
The Prince swept the Princess off her feet.
While in the garden, he got on his knees,
He asked his beauty to marry him please.
Her eyes lit up like the brightest star,
No doubt her answer wouldn’t be far.
The Princess was beaming,
The Prince was gleaming.
A storybook wedding soon will be here
For a wonderful couple I love so dear.
CJ and Achelle are on top of the world and still have so many more dreams to follow for wonderful memories.
