PAPER TOWEL QUALITY

Sometimes there is a big different between brands in paper towel quality.  While the store brand may save you a little at the register, I found Bounty held up much better when cleaning.  The number of sheets of Bounty I used compared to the store brand, held up so much better, therefore the money I saved buying store brand wasn’t actually a saving since I used more towels each time. Plus I can usually always find coupons for Bounty towels, but no for store brand.

Today I cleaned the kitchen and since I was cleaning and scrubbing the stove top, I decided to use paper towels instead of dish cloths.  I have the flat top stove and I always seem to get a brown ring around the edge of the burner.  I started with ceramic stove cleaner on the stove top with a scrubbing pad.  I didn’t realize I would be writing a blog about how great the Bounty towels are so I don’t have a before picture of stove top, but trust me, it was bad!

After it was cleaned, I used two of the Bounty perforated paper towels to wipe it off.  Next I rinsed the towels and wipe the stove top again. But I didn’t stop there, I continuing with the same two paper towels and cleaned the knobs on the stove and the wall behind the stove.  Nope, not done yet, I then wiped down the cabinets around the stove.  I rinsed the towels often but they never broke down.  The stove and area around it was sparkling clean so then I went to clean the toaster.  I like to clean with vinegar but I also add a few drops of lavender essential oil in with the vinegar for cut the vinegar smell.

I sprayed the toaster, wiped it down with the same paper towels, then sprayed and wiped off the counter tops and door fronts on the sink side.   These Bounty paper towels held up wonderful through all my cleaning.

I then did a test with a store brand towel and the Bounty.  Both paper towels were two layers but the Bounty were much thicker, in fact, one layer of Bounty was thicker than the two layers of the store brand.  I sprayed the refrigerator door and used the two towels the same amount of wipes.

I then rinsed the paper towels and after squeezing out the excess water, the Bounty towel on the right was much puffier than the store brand.

After wiping down a few more cabinets, I rinsed them again and by now the store brand was ripped in a few places while the Bounty was still fully intact.

I love to save money but sometimes the price depends on the amount used. In this case, Bounty Paper Towels by far surpassed the store brand in money saved and the amount of towels needed to complete my cleaning.   I wrote this blog as my own comparison between Bounty paper towels and store brand while cleaning my kitchen and not as a review but I highly recommend Bounty, the quicker picker upper!

I agree with your review. Bounty is defiantly the better choice when it comes to paper towels I love finding coupons or a store deal to stock up.

I’m very pleased with how Bounty holds up Sandy. I went to coupons.com and printed out a $1.00 off coupon for Bounty paper towels! Thanks for stopping by.

Wow, what a comparison. I try to always be a sauvy shopper but sometimes I have a tendency to just compare prices and not overall quality on some things. Paper towels being one of them, lol. I like when paper towels have more perforations to make for smaller sheets because sometimes you don’t need a full sheet for something lol. Bounty definitely looks like it holds up better than my store brand, maybe it’s time I switch.. lol

I like the small perforations also, that’s a big savings right there. Plus with Bounty, you can go to coupons.com for $1.00 off on 6 roll package. Hurry over and get a coupon, check who has it on sale and see how much you save in the long run. Thanks for visiting my site Alexandra. 🙂

I agree, I’m a fan of Bounty! And coupons plus a CVS sale can be very savings wise.
