Independence day in the United States is celebrated on July 4th as the day that represents the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America as an independent nation. The Continental Congress had submitted a draft on July 2, 1776 but after a few days of re-wording it, the final agreement was made on July 4, 1776. Some people celebrate the 4th of July at the beach or having a picnic.
