The other day when shopping at Walmart I came across Macintosh apples from Glenmont New York. Growing up, I had lived in Charlton NY since I was 5 years old and Glenmont is in the next county. Every time I see apples anywhere from the upstate NY area I get excited because New York State has the best apples in my opinion but when they come from “close to home” that’s even better! Did you know today is National Fossil Day? It’s also Wordless Wednesday and the perfect day to share pictures of a stick I found with fossil imprints back years ago while driving through the mountains. Rich would always stop when I saw a pull off that had interesting views for a photo opt. I love our beautiful crape myrtle tree in the front yard between my neighbor Judy and me. Rich always kept the bushes around the tree trimmed so nice and back in September 2023 he did a major trimming and cut the bushes away from the tree so the beauty of the trunk could be seen when people drive by. After he finished I told him the next spring project I wanted to do was put a border of rocks around the base. We never got that far and last year
Today is National Kick Butt Day, it’s celebrated the 2nd Monday in October and it’s the day to get motivated and get projects done whether at home or work.
