What a perfect way to start the January Ultimate Blog Challenge with the birthday of my blog. I had always thought about starting a blog but I never realized it would grow to where it is now.  My Blog is three years old and I am pleased with all that I’ve learned, some for others and some from trial and error on my own.  Back on Christmas Day 2014, my grandson helped me start a blog mainly for product reviews that I was doing.   Shortly after my blog was born, I added a few other categories and I was on my way.  Read how my blog was born:

From this to this:

When I started my blog, it was the free version of WordPress but within a year I got my own domain name, changed the banner and turned my blog into  Migrating everything over was another learning process.

This is the graph for the end of 2017, the anniversary of my 3rd blog year.

This graph is the total of all three years combined with the views and comments.

The end of the first year I was so excited to see my total views 2,826 with 354 blogs.  Most of these were strictly product reviews and in 2016 I added a variety of new categories and my total views jumped to 34,633 views with 360 blogs written.   The end of 2017 I only wrote 235 blogs but my views jumped to 37,864!  More categories were added but the most exciting one was Alex Articles.  Alexandra is my now 21-year-old granddaughter and she has some very interesting blogs and she’s hoping to add more this year.

As I start into the fourth year of blogging I’m looking forward to learning even more, growing more, and helping others through the blogs I write.  But I’m also excited to join in the Ultimate Blog Challenge for my third straight year.

I stumbled across this challenge in January 2016 and each January, April, July, and October the challenge is to write a blog post for each day of those months. It’s a great way to meet new bloggers, enjoy reading their blogs, increase traffic and watch your stats change from the number of views, shares and comments. I’m excited to reconnect with the past challenge bloggers and welcome the new challenge bloggers aboard! If you haven’t signed up yet, hurry on over and git ‘er done!
The hosts Paul Taubman and Danni Ackerman have an awesome month planned plus you won’t want to miss out on their FREE online training sessions.

So this will be an exciting year, the beginning of my 4th year of blogging and the beginning of my 3rd year of the Ultimate Log Challenge.

I have had an exciting three years of both writing my blog and making changes and updates. It’s fun to see that at my age of almost 70 years old, I can still learn things! Thanks for visiting LadyInRead, I enjoy your blog also!

Thanks hafong! I am pleased with the growth and the things that I have learned through other bloggers plus by my trial and error. My next thing I want to branch out to is doing some videos. I’m not the greatest speaker when I’m videoing but I’m going to give it a try! Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks Rachel, I’m the determined type and when I start something I like to complete it. With blogging, it will never be completed, hopefully only growing bigger and better. At almost 70 years old, I love to keep my brain active and it’s exciting to see I can still learn and retain things! Thanks for stopping by.
