My 42nd Consecutive UBC
Can you believe it’s April all ready and time for another Ultimate Blog Challenge? This is the start of my 42nd consecutive UBC and my goal is to make it to 50! I started this challenge in January 2016 and hoping I can keep up my track record for another 2 years!
So welcome back to my old (as in past UBC) friends and excited to see any new members that join in on this great blog challenge. Thank you Paul for putting up with us, I mean putting this challenge together once again. LOL
The purpose of this challenge is to write a blog each day for the four months of January, April, July, and October. Others will read, comment and share your blog and in exchange you do the same. This is a great way to meet new bloggers, reconnect with the “old” bloggers plus it will help increase you stats!

It just so happens today is Wordless Wednesday so I’m sharing a picture I took two years ago on March 23, 2024 when my husband and I went to Cherokee to purchase a cabin. I’ve never seen butterflies out this early but I believe it was a sign from God preparing Rich for his heavenly home. This was our last beautiful trip to Cherokee as God called Rich home on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024.
I like to start my challenge with a poem I wrote a few years back to get your all started. I’m hoping my brain can work on a blog each day plus Lia was visiting last week and she already has her blog ideas!

Some bloggers have different themes they write about, I guess you could call my theme, “Lifestyle” as I love to write of everyday happens, family, cooking, reorganizing and anything else that pops in my mind. So let’s get our blogs going for the April UBC and have fun reconnecting and meeting new bloggers. Time to BLOG ON!

42!!! Wow! That’s amazing, and very inspiring.
Looking forward to reading more in the month ahead.
Thanks Barbara, I just keep peeking away at the keys LOL
Martha, I remember that Cherokee trip and how shocked I was to read about Rich passing unexpectedly. Hard to believe it’s been two years. You are doing a wonderful job keeping his legacy alive!
Looking forward to being part of your 42nd UBC attendance.
Thank you Tamara, yes he may not be here physically but he’s in my heart and always sending signs to me that he is with me in spirit.
I think that I’ve been blogging about that long. Not sure if I started in 2015 or 2016. I was going to do the Ultimate Blogging Challenge once, lol. I had no idea that it was a four time a year thing. Now I know and, lol, it’s 2026. How did that happen? Anyway, I’ve always enjoyed your blog, right from the start. One day, I discovered there was another blogger and that this new blogger was very, very young. Like the youngest blogger I’ve ever seen. I love your blog posts and Lia’s blog posts. You’re both wonderful storytellers. We are now old friends, and that’s such a good thing. Happy Easter, Martha!!
I also love your blogs so much Alice, you are an exceptional story teller and artist! Not sure where the past 10 or so years went, must be we were so busy writing blogs we didn’t notice the years going by! LOL Lia was done last week, so she has some fun blogs coming up!
What a beautiful poem you have written and butterfly shot you have shared. My thought and prayer for your hubby, Rich. Welcome back to UBC, Martha.
Thanks Danwil, glad to see you back again! Rich may not be physically with me but there are so many signs he sends that shows me he is spiritually in my heart.
You just keep going and going. I keep trying and trying, and manage about 5 posts a year. lol
I’m not sure how much going and going I have left Winona, but I’m trying! LOL Thanks for stopping by.
Wow, Martha, 42! You know how to keep a streak alive! I’m looking forward to what you and Lia get up to this month and the stories you share about Rich. I appreciate the way you let us into your life!
Thanks Kimberly, Lia has a few exciting blogs coming up and with all the signs I see, I know Rich is with my spiritually. I feel like I’m keeping his memories alive but sharing stories about him and I.
