Mom’s Angel for Spiritual Sunday

My mom passed away on January 15, 2000 just ten days before her 80th birthday. Rich and I made a memorial garden for mom, she loved flowers. Each year we would add different flowers and plants.

In 2020 we added a large Angel statue to her garden and Rich would spread all the dried rose petals around the base of the Angel.

Even though Lia never met her great, great grandmother we always talked to her about my mom. I took this picture when she was 3 years old and the Angel and Lia were about the same height.

When Lia visited this past July she was helping me work on mom’s garden and I snapped her picture again. Lia is now taller than the tall Angel, I would say she has grown!

Lately I’ve been thinking about so much about my mom, this is a picture of Lia’s mommy when she was about a year old and we would take her to visit my mom. I thought today was the perfect day to share Mom’s Memory Garden and her Angel for Spiritual Sunday.
