MAJOR Overhaul Part 2
Seems like when I start a project it keeps going. If you missed my blog from yesterday, here is my MAJOR Overhaul blog. MAJOR Overhaul Part 2 is finishing the flooring throughout the guest room and Lia’s playroom.

I had painted and redecorated the guest room last year so that made it a bit easier and quicker to finish. However I had a closet full of stuff that had to go! Since this is just a guest room I’m using the closet more of a storage room. I have three different bedding sets, depending on who will be visiting. So I’ve stored the extras in the closet. Mission accomplished!

Lia’s playroom had a few changes made. She had lots of toys and books that were from her younger years and and it was time to pass them on. She had a keyboard in the room but since she’s not here as often, it was just taking up space. I was able to sell that and my neighbor had a dressing table she asked if I wanted it. It was perfect for Lia since she is 8 going on 16 and loves nail polish and a tiny bit of kid makeup. Of course her doll house and the stuffed animals had to stay, so many have sentimental value.

However she still had some that didn’t fit on the cubes so I cleaned out the closest that was used for storage and made a few changes. The top shelf is now home to her extra animals and the closet is now an extension to her room. Her bookshelf holds her books and games and the plastic bins are for her craft items. When not in use I can close the closet and not see any plastic bins in the room! I’m trying to keep everything at a minimum.
Did you notice the pink Minky heart rug? When Lia was born I made her crib bedding and I made the rug to match. That’s gotta stay in her room!
I’m having so much fun on my flooring project and the last part will be coming tomorrow!
