Light of the World Retreat

Today is Spiritual Sunday and I want to share the beautiful Light of the World Retreat I participated in last weekend. It was Friday evening, all day Saturday and Sunday, ending on Monday evening. There were speakers telling their stories about how God has helped them thorough trials and how that made them closer to God.

I stopped at the ocean before the first session to talk with Rich and send him a love note. It’s so peaceful watching the waves come up to my heart message and carry it heaven.

Friday was welcoming all the participants and Saturday and Sunday was so awakening to hear so many talk about how close they are to God. Sunday afternoon Mass was given by our Priest and all the participants renewed their baptism and confirmation. There weren’t too many dry eyes in the group.

Meals were provided and were they delicious and so much food! Sunday after Mass we were served a delicious dinner with lots of desserts!

The retreat ended Monday evening with all the participants speaking on their thoughts of the retreat and all were so positive. At the end we were all presented with a beautiful cross.

I met so many people I have seen at church but never knew them, now I have a name to go with the face. I even met a lady in charge of the Craft group at church and yes I signed up to join that! Thing is, she only lives a few mils from me and is so sweet.

We have both signed up to help at the Spring Light of the World Retreat sponsored by our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.

May you all have a blessed Sunday and a beautiful week.
