Lia’s Reflection Garden Chapter 3

It’s time for another Friday Story Time by Lia! Back in April my GGpapa cleared some weeds in the corner of the backyard and transformed it into a beautiful garden. Day by day I helped papa add flowers, mulch and butterfly decorations. The best part of creating this garden is when GGmama went to the Dollar Store and found some colorful stepping stones to make a border around my garden. I have two chapters so far and this is Lia’s Reflection Garden Chapter 3.

Lia’s Reflection Garden Chapter 1

If you’re new to following my garden, I’m sharing chapter 1 and 2 so you can see how far my garden has come in only a few months. Chapter 1 starts with papa and me getting the soil ready to planting a few flowers in April. I’m so excited to help create my garden!

Lia’s Reflection Garden Chapter 2

About three weeks later I posted an update about how my garden was growing. The most exciting thing for mama was the old bench she found at the recycling center. It wasn’t pretty but after papa and I scraped the old paint off and repainted it, the bench was perfect for my garden. Pink is one of my favorite colors, wait until you see the pink trim on my bench! I also opened Lia’s Garden Cafe and waiting for the virus to get over so I can invite my little friends over for cookies and juice! http://themarthareview.com/lias-reflection-garden-chapter-2/

Do you see anything different in these pictures from Chapter 2? Papa painted the two outside garden fence posts pink to match the bench!! Then a few weeks ago GGpapa decided to stain the old fence behind my garden. It looked so pretty with the new Autumn Brown stain.

But he didn’t stop behind the garden. Papa went and stained the entire fence in our backyard!

Of course I couldn’t let papa be outside all by himself so I went out and helped him with the staining. I love helping GGpapa outside, GGmama says we’re making memories!

Back when we first started creating my garden, mama found an old shovel head buried in the dirt. It was old and rusty but look at it now! Mama painted it a shiny gold, then mommy and mama painted my feet and turned my footprints into a butterfly on the shovel!

I think it looks beautiful in the garden! Did you notice the bird feeder hook, papa also painted that pink to match my bench! I just love my golden shovel in my garden! http://themarthareview.com/my-golden-shovel/

So when mama starts thinking of things she doesn’t stop! Someone was throwing away a big garden flower pot so of course mama grabbed it up. But look what she did to the faded old pot, she painted that gold to match my shovel and papa transplanted the bougainvillea in the gold pot.

Look at the fluttering butterflies I helped mama make for my garden! They are made from insulated packaging that was in a shipping box! Mama saves EVERYTHING and I’m glad she saved this! It’s so fun to watch my butterflies float around in the breeze. Oh, we made a big heart too!

The latest addition to my garden are the string lights that mama got to review. They have 8 different twinkle settings and I think they look so pretty at night in my garden. I hope you enjoyed touring Lia’s Reflection Garden Chapter 3 and Lia’s Garden Cafe! If you live near me you’ll have to stop by for my homemade cookies or bread! Thanks for visiting my Friday Story Time by Lia, hope to see you at my next blog stop, I have a special one for next Friday!

I love Lia’s garden. When will she be available to help me build one like it? I have been thinking of building a Zen garden for about 6 months now. I think those personal touches that Lia added is a wonderful idea that I will use when I build mine.

When Rich cleared out the corner and transplanted a Nandina bush and rose I never imagined the little corner would turn into a focal point in our backyard Chef William. Lia loves adding different things and she’s forever moving the butterflies ornaments stuck in the ground to different places. LOL I’d love to see your Zen garden!

Thanks Brenda. Everytime I think we’ve added the last thing, something else comes along! Alex wants to plant lavender or something similar all across the back fence starting at the pink fence post. Rich will have his work cut out for him this fall!
