Happy Birthday Alexandra!!

Twenty years ago on March 7th, our 5th grand baby entered this world.  From the moment we first saw Alexandra Rose, she stole my hubby’s and my heart.

For her first five years, she worked with us at our store, and when the time came for her to start school, we had a “retirement” party for her.  Alexandra was such a sweet, loving and caring little girl who grew up to be a beautiful young lady.  As a tribute to her birthday, I decided to share 20 different photos of her life so far.

I love her reflection in the glass as she’s watching the fish at the aquarium.

One of Alexandra’s favorite part of “work” was helping Papa stuff pillows.

It didn’t take long for Alexandra to learn how to sew and she made pillows and even a top for herself.

When she stayed at our house, we would have fun baking cookies, she was such a little helper. She still loves to bake and cooks super delicious meals.

We did a fun project when Alex was in Kindergarten,  we raised butterflies and when they were hatched and ready, she released them outside.  This little one kept flying back to her.

Some fun times on trips we went on, climbing in a playground and then on to the bigger rock wall at Six Flags!

A little shadow, she was never far from Papa.   This is the cute top Alexandra made all by herself, adding satin ribbon down the back for ties.

Alexandra is beautiful inside and out. She has the most gorgeous, big eyes.  I love this photo. These are two photos I call, “The Thinker”.

Happy 20th Birthday Alexandra, Papa and I love you so much!

Of course a birthday wouldn’t be complete without a birthday cake and this is the frosting from Alexandra’s photo cake when she was 5 years old.  I have kept it in the freezer for 15 years!  I just don’t have the heart to get rid of it.   Every time I open the freezer, I see her happy smiling face and it takes me back in time.  So again, Happy Birthday Alexandra with love from Papa and Mama.
