Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad

A beautiful cardinal flies down from the tree. A spirit from above coming to me. It must be a sign for all to see. The celebration of a heavenly anniversary. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

76 years ago on October 16, 1943 my mom and dad were married. The two were inseperable and when my mom passed away in January 2000, my dad was a lost soul. Dad went home to be with mom on January 2006 and they are once again together forever.

They visit at times but mostly my mom, I’ve only seen my dad a few times since he passed away. But mom is always showing up! Not a day goes by when I don’t think of them, I go to the garden and see the butterflies and cardinals flying around and I know it’s their spirit stopping by to let us know everything is okay and they are still watching over and guiding us.

The day before their anniversary this beautiful red cardinal stayed in the yard most all day. He hopped around the patio almost to the door then flew up and sat on the pinecones, peering inside. He wasn’t in a hurry to leave and let me take these pictures! I didn’t want to open the door so I took them through the glass but they are still beautiful. There can be no other explanation other than it was mom and dad’s spirit coming down for their anniversary. I love and miss you both so much mom and dad but happy you are together forever…..Until we meet again, keep sending down loving signs from the cardinals and butterflies.

This is a blog I wrote on mom and dad’s 73rd anniversary about the exciting story of how they met and married while my dad was in the Army. http://themarthareview.com/celebrating-their-73rd-wedding-anniversary/

I am so glad you can enjoy your memories of your parents. I know what it is like to lose a parent. My mom died of a heart attack 14 years ago. My father, sadly hasn’t been a part of my life.
I know my mom is around me. Sometimes I find money on the ground. I know it is from her.

I have so many wonderful memories and while I’m happy they are together once again, I miss them terribly. But like you Amanda, I know the signs of the pennies from heaven and the cardinals and butterflies sending down love. Hold your memories tight. Hugs to you!

  5. Wow ! That was worth the read. Your mom looks so young! (I hope she takes that as a compliment … that’s how I mean it!) . Loved the pic of your mom dad! Congrats to then for a long and happy marriage!

Thanks Jackson, mom and dad are together forever in heaven now. Everytime I see a cardinal or butterfly, I know they are near and watching over us.
