Friday Story Time by Lia It’s Park Day

Last week I shared my day at the beach and today for Friday Story Time by Lia it’s park day!

Snowball was so excited to see me and he loves to take walks so we went to a special place that ma loves. It’s called Vereen Memorial Gardens and Snowball loved swinging with me. But the best part of this place is the long walkways over the marsh to get to the Intercoastal Waterway so we can watch the boats go by. There are so many special things to see like this old twisted tree trunk.

After we walked across the marsh we came to an area with lots of seashells and trees. They are called the shell trees because people write names or messages on the shells and hang them on the tree branches. Pop, ma and I would take walks here when I was little and it was so much fun. I like searching for the perfect shell to hang on the tree. Look at these two shells I found! One looks like a heart and they other has a tiny piece broken out in the shape of a heart. But when you hold it up, you can see two hearts!

Ma and I found the perfect shells that had holes already in them and we hung them up for Pop.

A nice lady was out walking and she took our picture. We were getting hungry so we walked back to the car for another adventure.

We went to McDonalds then to the big playground park near Ma’s house. As we were eating lunch a squirrel and bird came to visit and we shared some lunch with them. The squirrel was so cute holding the chicken in his little hands.

After lunch it was play time! I love walking up the twisted railing then on to the big slide! It has so many turns but it’s fun. I even got ma to go up and slide down. She took my picture for the top before she got brave and went down. LOL

By now it was almost time for daddy to get done working so Ma and I went to Domino’s to get pizza for dinner! Snowball is watching out to window for daddy. We had a busy, fun day and I think I tired ma out!
