Dress Up
Back in July 2024 I wrote a blog about The Restaurant. Lia has always had a great imagination and she decided to “own” a restaurant. She started looking through my closet to find a dress and I told her I don’t have anything to fit a 6 year old. LOL So she comes downstairs with one of my dresses she has always loved and a pair of her mommy’s high healed boots. The dress was way too big but we made it work for her.
Since Lia loved my dress I decided to search and see if I could find a smaller one. I took a picture of mine and checked with Google Lens and found one on Ebay for $20.00! The smallest size they had was Junior size 3 but I could make that work for her. So I ordered it and surprised her last July when she came down to visit. When Lia saw her dress, she was so excited that she put on a fashion show, complete with Snowball.
Lia and I spend this past Christmas with her dad and grandparents in South Carolina. She asked if we could wear our matching dresses so I reluctantly said yes I would wear mine also. The last time I wore mine was on Christmas 2023.
After dinner Lia and I slipped into the bedroom and changed outfits. When she walked out everyone was so surprised at how gorgeous she looked. Then I entered to finish the surprise. Lia was so happy and excited to wear her own dress that fit much better than when she wore mine! What great grandma’s do to make their loved ones happy!

I wish I took a picture of her face when she first opened the packet Cheryl, her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. I first opted out not to wear it, but I saw her sad eyes and know I had to go through with the plan. So glad I did.
That is awesome! You are Twinsies! It is also amazing how technology these days can do what it does! Google Lens was not around 10 years!

Thanks Paul, I really never expected to find it even through Google Lens! Yes technology is amazing at times and who would have thought that because of Google Lens, a memory was made.
