Bid Farewell April

Bid Farewell April!

For the past 30 days, it’s been a pleasure to read, comment and share the different blogs written by return bloggers and meeting new bloggers who have participated in the Ultimate Blog Challenge.  Today it’s time to Bid Farewell April and thank everyone who has followed my blog, read and commented on my blogs that were shared by so many.

When I start a challenge or set a goal, whether it be a project at work or home, a reading or photography challenge and of course a blog challenge, I give it my all and by hook or by crook, I will complete that challenge.  This month was tough from the start since my hubby had a hip replacement the end of March and both of us had been down with the flu and bronchitis for what seems forever since we just had another relapse. But I COMPLETED 30 BLOGS FOR THE CHALLENGE!!!  WOO HOO I set my mind to it and even though some blogs didn’t get written until almost the next day, I managed to post one blog everyday!

I posted about the first 15 days of the challenge, showing my stats and top three blogs.  Here is the link http://themarthareview.com/are-we-there-yet/

For the last 15 days, I received 927 views, down from the first 15 days, but I’m still happy with how my blog is going. The top graph shows my stats for the entire month and the bottom is the last 15 days.  These are the top three blogs I wrote from April 16 until today.

I wrote this blog to help save a beautiful hidden gem in our city.  http://themarthareview.com/ingram-dunes-hidden-gem/  This blog received 95 views plus many shares. Thanks to all who helped get the word out about preserving the Ingram Dunes!

I like being able to help others and one way I do that is sharing ways that help when sewing.  http://themarthareview.com/sewing-secrets/  My secrets are out and I received 49 views on this blog.

I like to write my blogs about whatever the National Day is and on April 26th it was National Help a Horse Day.  I knew that was the perfect topic to write about my childhood friend who gave Charger a second chance.  When she first met Charger, he was basically a bag of bones but what until you see how Janis worked countless hours and months to bring Charger back to a gorgeous riding horse!  I received 35 views from this blog. http://themarthareview.com/national-help-a-horse-day/

Thanks to everyone who helped me with my stats by reading, commenting, sharing and liking my blogs!  Bloggers are like a village, we help each other out and the village grows!

Before I Bid Farewell April, I want to share with you a few of my favorite blogs I’ve read.  One is http://www.ladyinreadwrites.com/uncle-tom-and-the-hungry-caterpillar-in-the-willows/ by Vidya T. who writes daily about different books. So many of them have brought back memories of my younger years when I always read.  Because of her blog, she has sparked my interest to getting back to ready the old fashion way, a book in the hand!

Another blogger that has brought back memories is Alice G. on her terrific stories and photos she shares. Being originally from upstate New York, I so enjoy the memories from her blog!  https://alicesgrandadventures.blogspot.com/2018/04/o-is-for-oak-tree-planting.html

Another Ultimate Blog Challenge is under my belt and like the saying goes, the party’s over but I am so inspired by all the bloggers and hope to meet you all back in July for the next Ultimate Blog Challenge.  Congratulations to all how entered, completed or at least gave it a try! Thanks to Paul T. and Danni A. for hosting this terrific challenge!  See you back in July with a fun-filled line up!

I started my blog on Christmas Day 2014 mainly to review products I received. Since then it has evolved into many other categories of lifestyles, family, money saving ideas, low cost, delicious and healthy meals plus other surprise posts. My granddaughter has her own category, Alex's Articles and the latest addition to my blog is my great granddaughter now has her category, Lia's Likings The Baby Blogger! Lia started blogger at 8 months old and she now has a Friday Story Time blog you won't want to miss! I welcome you to join the conversation, ask a question, give a suggestion or leave a comment on any blog post. I hope you enjoy Lia's Likings, she has some great posts that will make you smile!

I wouldn’t miss it Paul, not even the flu could keep me away! I’m hoping to get back to writing a few blogs a week on the “off-challenge” months and my granddaughter is hoping to write one or two a month for starters. Thanks for another great challenge month, I’ll be seeing your around!
