BABY LOVE

BABY LOVE

Baby Love is forever even after a devastating loss of a loved one.

Sunshine Baby is one born before a loss. There are many Sunshine Babies that give so much happiness and joy after a normal pregnancy and birth.

They are usually baby born before a miscarriage, still birth, SIDS or any other early childhood death. But I also like to consider a Sunshine Baby one who is born recently after a loved one passes.  A dear friend lost his wife in August, the family was devastated.  But a few months later, a beautiful baby girl was born. The baby would have been her granddaughter.  It’s a circle of life, sadness comes at the loss of a loved on, but the new baby brings joy as the grandmother guides her from up above.

An Angel baby is a baby lost due to miscarriage, stillbirth or lost after childbirth. All babies go to heaven and they watch over us from above.

Sometimes there is no answer for the grieving parents and loved ones but I like to think that God needed a special Angel near him in heaven.

Rainbow Baby is a baby that is born following a loss of a miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death or infant loss. A Rainbow Baby is born after an Angel Baby. Rainbow Babies give joy and hope to their family and loved ones after the experience of loss and sadness.

A rainbow doesn’t mean a storm never happened, it means that something beautiful has appeared after darkness and clouds. A lost baby will never be forgotten, the Rainbow Baby will carry the love here on earth that was lost for the Angel Baby.  The Angel Baby will guide the Rainbow Baby from heaven above.

An Angel Baby looking down from above,

Guiding her twin with so much love.

God had a plan for the Angel indeed

He knew the Angel would take the lead.

The signs they will send

Will guide and not end.

The love for the babies will grow and grow,

For both the baby Angel and baby Rainbow.

This is one of my poems I wrote about Baby Love while anxiously awaiting for August.

I had never heard of this either Kyla but thought it was quite interesting since my granddaughter recently lost one of the twins she was carrying. I had an Angel Baby and my youngest daughter is the Rainbow Baby. Thanks for sharing about your Sunshine and Rainbow babies.

  2. I’ve never come across “Sunshine baby” and “Rainbow baby ” before. My middle daughter would be a Sunshine Baby, born before the loss of her grandfather and the miscarriage of a sibling. My youngest is the Rainbow baby who came along after the grief.

  3. Love this poem!! If I understand you correctly, I am a Rainbow baby. My mom had a miscarriage before getting pregnant with me.

Yes, that would make you a Rainbow baby Jeanine! While I had never heard of this before, I thought it was quite interesting. Thanks for visiting!

My son is a sunshine baby to me. He was born shortly before the death of my father, My dad was in the same hospital, right above me when I gave birth to my son. Many in my family believe he is the reincarnation of my father. He does look and act a lot like him.

Something sad can turn into something full of joy. While we never forgot the deaths of our loved ones, the sunshine always shines through. How wonderful that your son is your sunshine baby and also so much like your father. He lives on in your son Brenda. Thanks for sharing your story.

  5. Never heard those expressions.

Thanks for visiting Varun. I had never heard of this until my granddaughter lost one of her twins she was carrying. Those who have Angel babies will always have someone to look down and guide them.
