Where Do We Go From Here
A little background on The Martha Review blog and how I got started in blogging. For many years I have been reviewing products for different companies. I would write a review and post it on the company’s website. But then I got thinking, I could reach more consumers if I had a blog so on December 25, 2014 with the help from one of my grandsons, The Martha Review was born. This tells a little about Lia’s and my blog and where do we go from here.
I started with the free version of WordPress but after a few months CJ suggested I get my own domain name and share his server space with others hosted by his network. But a year later, April 2016 I was ready for another change. CJ owned a multi tier server that could host many domains and he explained it to me as the equivalent of a shopping mall. It seems like The Martha Review was using 65% of the mall and he had to kick on other “tenants.” The next step was to set me up with my own server and he started the Migration to move me out of his “shopping mall” and I was on my own!
I started many more categories in my first two years of blogging and I’m still adding them! I’m now in my 7th year of The Martha Review and a few years ago my great granddaughter, Lia Faith started blogging with me! Lia started the same way I did, doing product reviews under her own category, Lia’s Likings the Baby Blogger. Her first blog was a review about First Cabbage Patch Kid doll. I don’t remember the exact date but I think it was in the fall of 2019 when Lia was writing a weekly post so she started her “Friday Story Time by Lia” and she shares stories of her love for baking, gardening, crafts, and some of the trips she has gone on.
On August 23rd, Lia will turn THREE YEARS OLD!!! She has been sharing her love for so many things in her blogs but mostly she shares her love and smiles. Another blogger and dear friend, Brenda has dubbed Lia her little sunshine. So whether Lia is baking, painting, crafting, cooking or gardening, she is always smiling! But as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end and Lia’s Likings the Baby Blogger will be making a big announcement in the next few weeks. Be sure to check out her blogs the next few Fridays for the news!
As for my niche, it goes here and there, mostly lifestyle and my blogs are about my healthy eating plan I started in 2018, helpful tips and money saving tips, gardening, nature, photography on Wordless Wednesday and yes I still to product reviews.
I’m so excited to be participating in my 23rd Ultimate Blog Challenge and as with all the others my goal is to complete this one as well. I love and live for a challenge!! So where do we go from here? Keep reading our blogs and you’ll find out!
