Today is the Day!
Today is the day, July 31st! It’s the last day of the Ultimate Blog Challenge! How did you all do? Even if you didn’t quite complete all 31 blogs for the month, in my book you are still winners! So a big CONGRATULATIONS to all the participants in this awesome challenge and if you did complete them all, don’t forget your ribbon! I started this challenge in January 2016 and have completed every one since then. This is my 27th Ultimate Blog Challenge I’ve joined and completed. I have to go back and take a head count on when Friday Story Time by Lia blogs first began, that will be another challenge. WOO HOO, thank you Paul for hosting this awesome challenge to keep our minds going!!
But that’s not the only reason to celebrate today… it’s NATIONAL RASPBERRY CAKE DAY! Now here’s the cool part, I didn’t even realize there was such a day but I just happened to have a raspberry/lemon cake on hand! No Lia didn’t make it, it’s store bought! LOL So have some cake to celebrate the ending of the July Ultimate Blog Challenge!!
Now how about another celebration! Today is my hubby’s 76th birthday so what better song for his special day than Seventy Six Trombones! Rich isn’t a big one to celebrate birthdays but it’s got to be done! So here’s to you sweetie, out of your 76 years, we have been together almost 57 of them. WOW we were so young but stuck together like glue throughout the years.

Lia and I have enjoyed reconnecting with previous blogger friends and meeting new ones in this challenge plus reading and commenting on their blogs. Rich has put up with me constantly blogging all hours of the day and night but he has also given me ideas for my blogs. So I need to give him an extra big birthday hug!
I always like to close out the UBC with a poem I wrote a few years back. Again congratulations to everyone who participated in the July Ultimate Blog Challenge, a big thank you to our host, Paul T. for organizing and keeping to going plus sharing his expertise in webinars! So THANK YOU Paul, I’ll be back next challenge!

What an accomplishment, in so many ways! First, congrats on this past month and the challenge! Next for all the other 26 challenges you completed! I think my first challenge goes back to 2009, so you were not far behind me from when I started!
I would say, “Enjoy the time off,” but I know you will keep blogging without the challenge!

Martha, so much to say! Congrats on yet ANOTHER UBC completed! Sometime I must figure out when I started doing the UBC. It was when Michelle and Michelle were facilitating. It has been a joy visiting with you and Lia, and sometimes Rich, for another month. Maybe Carlos will chime in one of these times? Happiest Anniversary, happy sisters’ reunion, and Happy Birthday to Rich! <3
