The Last Day of January UBC is Silly Saturday!

Was this a quick month or what?? The last day of January UBC is Silly Saturday! I completed all 31 blogs again this month. 2026 is the start of my 11th UBC year, I started in January 2016 and have completed 41 challenges. I thought it would be fun to end with some silly videos that hopefully make you laugh or at least smile.

Snowball loves to watch animals on TV and when he sees a dog he jumps off the couch and goes over to the TV, stands on his hind feet and starts dancing and barking! If the dog on TV barks, Snowball thinks he’s answering him. LOL

Lia has always come up with silly ideas. A few years ago our neighbor gave her a recipe file box and Lia became a ventriloquist with a talking recipe box.

I loved watching Lia build a computer from dominoes and a domino tray for the monitor. She pecked away at the “keys” so seriously and when I asked her what she was doing, she told me she was writing a report.

As my Facebook friend, Kebba said when she saw this video, “Instructional videos are always so helpful. Lia loved to help fold clothes and every time she folded something, she had pat it down. LOL Again she is so serious when she is working.

Lia loved her Rockabilly music when she rode with pop and me on the way home from school. I thought this a a perfect ending to finish up the January Ultimate Blog Challenge and Silly Saturday.

Of course I can’t forget to share my end of the challenge poem I wrote years back, congratulations to everyone who took part in this challenge, you are all winners for at least trying!

Lia and I would like to thank everyone who viewed, commented, shared and liked our blogs and I enjoyed reading and commenting on so my from the group, so many talented bloggers. Time to take a short break but we’ll see you all in April for another awesome Ultimate Blog Challenge hosted by Paul T. Thank you Paul for keeping this challenge going.

I started my blog on Christmas Day 2014 mainly to review products I received. Since then it has evolved into many other categories of lifestyles, family, money saving ideas, low cost, delicious and healthy meals plus other surprise posts. My granddaughter has her own category, Alex's Articles and the latest addition to my blog is my great granddaughter now has her category, Lia's Likings The Baby Blogger! Lia started blogger at 8 months old and she now has a Friday Story Time blog you won't want to miss! I welcome you to join the conversation, ask a question, give a suggestion or leave a comment on any blog post. I hope you enjoy Lia's Likings, she has some great posts that will make you smile!

Congratulations on Completing another Ultimate Blog Challenge! I did them for a bit, but stopped for several years and came back last October. It is a great way to challenge yourself to post consistently. Do you have any tips from your years of experience?

I love Snowball’s hopeful attitude – ‘maybe SOMEDAY a friend will hop down and play!!’
And, oh, Lia! So preciously serious – want to read that report! She’s such a treasure!
I’ve enjoyed your blogs, and look forward to seeing you in April (or before!)
My post ‘What is Soul Collage’ has several YouTube links to little tutorials. I’ll be offering a session February 12th for our Red Thread Creatives Group via zoom (FB) making a card for self love – would love too have you join us!

Thanks Nadya, I like to have some “lite” blogs and with Lia and Snowball that’s easy to do! I have enjoyed your Soul Collage blogs!

These are cool videos, Martha. I especially like Lia folding a towel, Lia having a blast on the last video, and Snowball wagging his tiny tail while watching TV… so cute! Well, I appreciate you exchanging thoughts and comments with me on UBC. I participated about halfway this January; hopefully I can do better in April. See you in the next challenge! Take care.

  4. Martha, what delightful videos for Silly Saturday! Snowball certainly gets that there is a dog behind that screen! Lia’s simulated laptop is brilliant, and she imitates keyboarding so perfectly. Now here is something really new– I had no idea she liked to yelp along with rockabilly! Delightful. I have missed you and Lia, and all my fellow bloggers, as I had a lot of work to take care of in January. But I do hope to be back fully in April. Love and blessings!
