I have had my blog since Christmas Day 2014, just about 3 1/2 years and for the most I learn by trial and error but that’s basically how I learn most things. If I can’t figure something out, I will do a search online and most of the times I’m able to find an answer to what I’m looking for. Like last November I mistakenly forgot to “Save Draft” while writing a blog and yup, you guessed it, I lost everything. But I was able to learn about “Control Z” to get my content back and I was on my way to continue writing my blog. If you don’t know this little trick, here’s my blog about it. This isn’t just for Word Press blog or blogs in general, it even works when writing emails and even on Facebook! http://themarthareview.com/control-z/ The other day I was reading comments that my readers left and I found one asking “what plugin are you using for your “related article” slide over?” So I decided to answer her question in a blog in case others were interested in knowing.
The Traffic tab is where the option for Related Posts is to turn on or off. But it’s also for Site Stats where you can check the number of your blog views, comments, etc.
The Sharing tab is where you can adjust your settings to automatically share you posts to your social networks and also add sharing buttons.
There is so much more on Jetpack that I’m still learning about but I’m pleased with the plugin and how easy it is to change settings. There are four different plans starting with the Free plan which I have all the way up to Professional. You can visit their site and see all the different options that are available: https://jetpack.com/
This is another blog I wrote with a few other helpful tips I have learned since I started blogging. I love to learn and my motto has always been, “If you want to explore deeper oceans, you first have to leave sight of the shore”. http://themarthareview.com/helpful-tips-when-writing-blogs/
This is brilliant! I deactivated Jetpack because I saw no use for it. I might as well have it back. Thank you so much for taking the time to see its value!
Like I said Maria, I learn as I go. LOL While I was writing this blog I even learned more about Jetpack! Hope this does the trick for you and thanks for the question so i could turn it into a blog!
I didn’t know about the Plugin so I will check it out this week. As for the tip on how to get lost things back, I also didn’t know it and will check into it as well. As for now, I am off to read the other article you mentioned to see what else I can learn before C gets up and demands my attention. As it’s Sunday and Family Day, not a day to work.
Glad my tips were interesting for you Glenda. I’m so glad I found the Control Z as I sometimes forget to click “save draft”. Enjoy your Sunday with David and Charlie!
