It’s Friday Story Time by Lia and and since I joined the Alzeimer’s Fundraiser in mid June, I have received over one thousand dollars in donations from my friends! I am participating in honor and memory of my great, great grandmother and also my sweet neighbor Ruthie who passed away from Alzheimer’s just a few weeks ago. When mommy and ma showed me the information about this fundraiser, one of the categories was baking so I knew I was in! I love baking and I had Lia’s Sunshine Bakery fundraiser
I recieved a coupon for a plant-based milk alternative and I must say I was a bit hesitant at first to try it. But my hesitation was short lived after I tried NOT MILK! I have never tried a plant based milk alternative so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at the great taste of NOT MILK! It’s thick and creamy with a unique taste with a hint of pineapple! I was trying to figure out what I was tasting, it has pineapple juice and sunflower
It’s WORDLESS WEDNESDAY, the perfect day to share some photos of Rich’s and my relaxing sneak away to the mountains. We quietly left early in the morning and for two days we didn’t do much, just relaxed! The photos of the stream were the view from our balcony. Two days of nothing but relaxing and seeing some beautiful sites. Now back to reality! Hope you all enjoyed the relaxing photos.

Today is the 4th of July also known as Independence Day. It’s so busy with tourists in our town this weekend that hubby and I decided to sneak away to the peaceful mountains for a few days. From our balcony we can look at the stream filled with geese and ducks and the fog leaving the mountains. Such a beautiful sight!
