Between the end of January and the beginning of the April Ultimate Blog Challenge, I hit the big one. No not the lottery or casino jackpot but I hit the magic age of SEVENTY FIVE YEARS OLD on March 12th! How can that be when I don’t act nearly half my age. Rich would have been so proud to see how his family all worked together without any hiccups to plan a wonderful service. My son-in-law took the reins and notified the Patriot Guard Riders who preformed the Honor Mission, a silent flag line to honor Rich’s service as a Vietnam Veteran in the US Army. The American Legion gave a 21 gun salute and I was presented with an American flag by the Army. The Deacon of our church gave a beautiful service and he mentioned how our purpose on earth

Today is Silly Saturday but I’m switching it to Seashell Saturday just for this week in memory of our beloved Pop. My daughter and son-in-law along with their two dogs and their kitty had to return home to Virginia after being with me since last Monday.
