This is my last Friday Story Time by Lia for the April UBC, I’ve had so much fun sharing my blogs with you. Today I’m sharing how well my vegetables are growing! Carrots Our February weather was warm and sunny so I decided to plant some carrots from seeds. I usually start my seeds in cups and then transplant when they start growing but I wanted to see if they would grow this way. Two months later and look how big my carrot plants are! I can’t wait to see

Have you ever looked through old pictures and find they bring back memories? That’s what happened to me the other day when I was looking through old photos and they brought back memories of our house filled with love. I was about 5 years old when my family moved to a house in Charlton New York. Charlton is a small town in Saratoga County in upstate New York. My mom, dad, grandmother, grandfather and my sister and I lived in the three bedroom home. Six people and only one bathroom,

Today is Wordless Wednesday and I’m inviting you all to come visit Lia’s garden with me and see a few of our wind decorations. Short and sweet, I hope you enjoyed Lia’s garden for Wordless Wednesday! The Cross wind twirler is my favorite, it was a Christmas gift from Lia and her grandma. The wine bottle wind chime was given to Lia as a birthday gift from a special friend and the blue bird wind chime was from Alexandra on Mother’s Day.

Do you know what day it is? It’s April 25th National Zucchini Bread Day! Every year we plant zucchini in our garden and we usually have an over abundance of it! Lia has been picking the ripe zucchini squash since she’s been a few years old. I love making zucchini bread and I would slice the zucchini in long slices then shred it with a knife. It worked good but then I received this nifty little Oster electric chopper to review. This is so much quicker and it chops it

I had a request from one of my great blogger friends and when I read about her request I know it was a great blog topic! Kebba B. suggested I write a blog about packaging food for freezing and portion sized packs. Thanks for the request and the blog topic suggestion Kebba! During the summer I love to freeze fresh vegetables from our garden. A few years ago we had an over abundance of zucchini squash so Lia and I chopped it up, skin and all, and froze in ziplock
