I didn’t realize today is National Gardening Day but it’s perfect to share my Mom’s Memory Garden update. Mom passed away January 15, 2000 and Rich and I made a memory garden in her honor. Mom loved flowers as far back as I remember when I was a young girl. We always had a side yard filled with Iris and Tulips plus lilac bushes. I remember picking bouquets for my teachers in grade school and mom or grandma would wrap the stems with wet paper towels then cover it with
Today is Palm Sunday for those who celebrate. It’s the Sunday before Easter where palm branches were waved to greet Jesus as he entered Jerusalem. Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week and in our church the palms are handed out at the beginning of Mass and then they are blessed by the Priest.
