Today is National Peace Rose Day, French horticulturist Francis Meilland was the developer of the Peace rose back in 1935 and 1939. When the German invasion started, Francis sent cuttings to his friends in Italy, Turkey, Germany, and the United States to protect the new rose he grew. Each country named the rose something different and the United States named it Peace as World War 2 came to a close and the national flower for the United States is the rose. So that’s how the Peace Rose get it’s name.

Just stopping by to say hi to everyone! I’ve been so busy with school and hanging out with Zac at his shop. I like school and my new friends. The other day I went for a bike ride with my training wheels on but the next day Zac had taken them off! He held on the the back to help me keep my bike straight and I did pretty good but it was a bit scary. I’ll keep practicing until I can have him let go of the back. But
