My First Ever Giveaway
The beginning of May I hosted my first ever giveaway contest on my blog. When I do a review on products I get to keep the items so I thought I would hold a Mother’s Day Giveaway with some of the products I’ve received.
The items I had in my giveaway were a variety of things that might be of interest to a wide selection of readers. It was fun picking out the items and I even added a few more items during the contest. Since this was my first giveaway I didn’t know what to expect in entries so I was quite surprised and excited when I ended up with 458 entries! THANK YOU ALL WHO ENTERED!!

When organizing a giveaway, you have to figure out how to set up and have your drawing, I use Rafflecopter, a program where I can set up the giveaway and the dates it will run. Rafflecopter keeps track of all the entries and when the contest is over, a random winner is selected through them. If you are interested in hosting a giveaway, I recommend www.Rafflecopter.com, it’s easy to set up and check your entries throughout your giveaway
The contested ended on May 11 and the winner was announced on Mother’s Day. CONGRATULATIONS TO SAMANTHA B!!! I mailed the package out the following day and Samantha received it on Thursday. She posted a very nice thank you post on Facebook!
Since I had such a great time hosting the Mother’s Day Giveaway I decide to host a Father’s Day Giveaway also! I’m excited to get this one going and I’ve already started to put together some prizes! This is a sneak peak of some of the goodies so far. Stay tuned for this giveaway to start the week before Father’s Day and the winner will be announced on Father’s Day! You don’t have to by a dad to enter!
