HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY MOM
HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY MOM!!
Today would have been my mom’s 97th birthday. I miss her so much but she is watching over and guiding her family from up above. HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY MOM! This is a short poem I wrote for her this morning.
Eighteen years have passed
Since I saw you last.
I love and miss you so
I didn’t want to see you go.
A special Angel God did need
He chose the best that indeed.
So many memories of the past
In my heart they will last.
My mom loved gardening and flowers. We planted a memory garden with the flowers and plants from her funeral. The beautiful azalea bush is huge and I know she can hear me when I’m talking to her in the garden. Happy Heavenly Birthday Mom, I love and miss you so much!
I’d love to have you met my wonderful mother. This is a blog I wrote filled with beautiful memories. http://themarthareview.com/memories-of-mom-on-her-birthday/
Lovely tribute to your mother.
Lily
Thanks LilY! She was the best, caring and loving mom. Her tribute was so fitting for her soul. Thanks for visiting.
What a beautiful post and tribute, Martha!! My mom is still with us, but she is ill, and I just hope to get several more birthdays with her here on earth before the heavenly celebrations begin. Your poem is lovely, and I am sure she is, indeed, watching with love from above.
I treasure all the last moments I had with my mom Jeanine and while I didn’t want her to leave, I also didn’t want to see her suffer. God had a plan for her and with her beautiful voice, she is singing with the choir of Angels. Prayers to your mom and you. <3
I feel the same about my grandmother. She passed 1992 and I miss her dearly, but I can sense her presence. Lately, my grandfather has come closer too. I loved them both very much!
I”m so glad you can feel the presence of your grandmother Stella. If you see a yellow butterfly or a cardinal, it’s our loved one’s in heaven thinking of us.
So beautiful, Martha. I always get all choked up when I read about your mother. My mother passed on the 30th. Just another thing we share.
We have so much in common Brenda, indeed we are soul sisters. Hugs to you too, mom’s are so special and hope my poem helps with you missing your mom!
Thanks Roy, mom’s memories are in my heart and I feel she is still with me.
Great shared memories, Martha! May they alwasy bring a smile to your lips.
First, your mom would be so proud of that piece….second, my mom just turned 80 on Jan 22….and third, the photo of your Mom looks so much like one of my most remembered 7th and 8th-grade teachers from St Patrick RC School, Sr Edith (FYI- the only teacher to ever send me to the principal’s office for NOT yep I said NOT talking in class. I am so so glad I still have my Mom- and hope to have her around for 20 more years….but she gets the wishes not me this month right?!?!?! LOL!! Martha, she is the only family I really have left- my uncles and aunts and cousins from LI, all not live in CA. I wake up scared every day of losing her. And have shortness of breathe thinking what would I do without her?!?!!? Seriously! Oh, and I think that was the first time I ever said or wrote that out loud……
Thank you Pamela and happy birthday to you beautiful mom. Don’t think of the future, take each day and be thankful and enjoy your mom. While I miss my mom I know she is now pain free but still watching over us.
I feel the presence of all my dearly departed loved ones. Now that I live alone, it’s like they are all around me, in dreams, on walks, late at night. Recently, my sister sent me a box of letters from my parents and brother. Memories surfaced I did not know I had!
Oh I can’t imagine the memories you found in the letters Kate! Must have been wonderful, like your parents and brother are still with you. Hugs to you.
