God Answers Prayers
For Day 27 of the Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge the topic is content that is very personal. This is as personal as it gets when God answers prayers.
I’ve always known that God answers prayers. It’s not always immediately, it’s not always the answer you want to hear. Sometimes it may take years before the prayer is answered and that’s when we look up above and thank him for all his love.
God answers prayers, but we don’t know when or where.
We need to be patient, even though the heart is vacant.
As the years go by, the memories make us cry.
Wondering if the day, is still so far away.
God sent down a sign, we knew it was time.
Our prayers had been heard, God sent down the word.
It took many years, we shed many tears.
The faith we did keep, tears of joy we now weep.
My heart is not breaking, my heart is not aching.
God answered our prayers. there is love back in the air.
It’s been about five years since the parents went to court for child abuse and two children were temporarily put in foster care. The 11 year old was returned back to her parents after they attended parental classes but all contact between the rest of their family and friends was lost. They wanted nothing to do with anyone and they blamed everyone except themselves for their actions. The hard part was not having contact with this sweet little girl and not knowing if she was okay.
Five years is a long time but God answers prayers and this past August she started communicating with us through messenger. The best message received was when she wished us a Merry Christmas on Christmas morning. Hopefully we can get to see her in the near future and bring back all the memories of the past. She made this Christmas angel for me when she was about 4 years old and I will cherish it always.
As for the 16 year old, he remained in foster care until he graduated high school and has since started his own successful business.
Some people say God isn’t real or they don’t believe. I don’t have to physically see him to know he is with us. He was with my daughter when she had a brain tumor successfully removed and he was with my granddaughter through major surgery to remove a tumor entangled in her chest and spinal cord. He also knew it wasn’t time for me to leave my family when I visited heaven ten years ago so his Angels brought me back. http://themarthareview.com/visiting-with-the-angels/
Thanks for your story of faith, Martha. Blessings.
Thank you Lily, we all need faith! That is Lia’s middle name also!
What amazing stories! I do believe that God answers prayers. Sometimes, it’s hard to wait, but he still answers. Hoping with you that things work out with them and your family the way you are wanting.
We are thrilled just to have the messaging and sending pictures Jeanine. It’s baby steps but we’re patient and have faith that things will turn around. We just had to go on God’s timing.
We all still have work to do. That’s why we are still here!❤️
Yes we do Kate and as long as we have faith, I can wait.
Martha, what magnificent stories you have shared today! And I deeply believe you have more. Your deep faith is evident in the love you share everywhere, in all your words and actions. I am delighted my life and yours touch. You are awesome!
Thank you Kebba, I do have many more! Some like this one is so personal and the story is much more deeper than I wrote. I don’t know how a parent can abuse their children, physical and mental abuse is as bad as any other kind. It has affected the children’s lives immensely but they too believe in faith. I too am so glad we met through blogging, I feel like you are my soul sister. Hugs and love to you.
Wow wonderful story from great blogger, totally true
God answers prayers but sometimes it takes a bit longer than we hope Rich. Faith will get us through.
God, indeed answers prayers.
Yes he does Amanda!
