Chipping Away on my Biggest Challenge

Back in April I started my biggest challenge were I gave myself a goal to get to TWO MILLION Swagbucks by the time I’m 80 years old! Swagbucks is an earning where you can earn points doing surveys, running videos, playing games, shopping, scanning receipts just to name a few ways. You can even earn points by doing searches using the Swagbucks search engine! The points can then be converted to Paypal or a variety of Giftcards. I’m averaging $200.00 per month! If you want to check out this cool site, click here for my link.

I started back in the end of 2011 of Swagbucks but didn’t really think about making a certain goal. But at the beginning of 2023 I realized I was only about 800,000 points away from the top goal of 2 million, I knew I had to do something!

In the beginning of April I had 1,176,877 points and my granddaughter calculated I would need approximately 400 points per day for the next 6 years to make it! But me being one that loves a challenge, I started working on my site steady. Today I’m still chipping away on my biggest challenge and I’m happy with the results so far.

I love days like this when I get super high points! Some times surveys or game points are pending for a week or longer. This day was the jackpot because two large pending points came in at once.

If I average 400 points per day, that’s about 12,000 per month. This past August I totaled 19,361 points and in September my total was 15,466. So I’m ahead of schedule, can I continue for six more years? I’ll be checking in again in a few more months!

These numbers are the breakdown of where I have earned my points from when I started Swagbucks 12 years ago.

This is the link to my blog I wrote the end of July when I reached 1,283,007 points! Fast forward to the two months later, my total at the start of this October UBC is 1,322,594!

    Congrats on your achievement!
I do’t do these kinds of things but I figure you can get caught up in it.

  2. Wow, Martha, you are making significant progress! This is a great idea! That extra cash can be super helpful for making life more fun! I need to think about this! Happy Monday! Cindy Rae

Its exciting to see my Paypal increase each time I cash out Cindy! I just let it accumulate like when banks had Christmas club accounts. Rich keeps asking me what I’m saving it for and I told him for the grands. LOL

Hi Martha, a fascinating blog. It really is incredible what opportunities are available out there from companies, and I can see you are doing really well with your efforts – its good to see the progress! I had another friend of mine introduce me to another company (in the UK), that is a cash back site. The name is Quidco, and it’s very simple – just a matter of remembering to go into the Quidco website first before then clicking out into any other online shop. And then the cookies track the expenditure, and rewards come in a small cash back that accumulate and can then be redeemed for either gift cards or bank transfer. I guess these things are all about being in the know!

I’ve heard of Quidco from some of my friends across the pond Alice! There are so many sites to earn from survey sites to shopping sites. I also have a variety of apps to scan receipts, I don’t get rich on them but an extra $40.00 every so often is a cool surprise!

I remember trying that a few years ago, but I just didn’t keep up w/ it. The volume of emails I got also made me not want to deal with it. I’m rooting for you to reach your goal.

    • Martha says:

Ya it can be hard to keep up with Angel but I use a special email and when I do an offer I have another one if I know they will spam me. It takes awhile to learn the tricks of the sites!

  5. Hmmm. Swagbucks. Yet another app that tracks you and sells your information. Glad you feel you are getting the better portion of the bargain!

What can I say Roy, I’m addicted! LOL I never do the offers that ask for personal info or SS number. I have a bogus phone number I use plus an email just for the sites I’m on.

  6. That is very impressive, Martha! I would love to make $200/month, but I don’t know if I could do everything you’re doing.

When I first started I set my goal for $30.00 a month Jeanine. It’s easy to make a dollar a day on the site. I spend maybe 1/2 hour in the morning to get my to-d0-list down then do a few more surveys throughout the day. Now it’s addicting and with my challenging mind, I have to keep going.

Martha, you are the person from whom I heard about Swagbucks! It sounds like you have so much fun with it. Like some people like a video game, which does not earn them money. You have found a challenge (and I know you love challenges 🙂 ) from which you can earn real money! Wahoo!

    • Martha says:

Yes Kebba, so many people say they don’t have time for it or it’s too hard but they play video games all day long! I can make goal within a hour and while some days are a challenge to get a higher goal but I’m all for a challenge!
