Baking Day on Friday Story Time by Lia

One of my favorite things I did when I was visiting ma last month was bake and cook. We invited Judy over to bake cookies with me so I could take them to my grandma on Palm Sunday.

My favorite cookie I like to make are the Italian cookies and Judy and I had so much fun decorating them. We didn’t just frost and add sprinkles like I usually do but I added mini marshmallows, nuts and kisses to some of them. When we finished making the Italian cookies we made some brownies and they were so good too. I added mini marshmallows to the batter but ma didn’t get a picture of them.

Then I noticed ma’s new air fryer her friends gave her so I decided to try making a few cookies in it. I dropped some dough balls in the bottom then figured out how to set the temperature and timer. They baked for 6 minutes and the tops got a little brown but the cookie was so soft in the middle. I made just enough for Judy, ma and me to try!

I liked using the air fryer and when we were finished making cookies it was time for lunch. I made chicken and mozzarella cheese sticks. This is one of my favorite lunch ideas and it was so good. Look at all the yummy cheese!

By now the cookies were all decorated and ready to put in boxes for a few of our neighbors and of course one for daddy and another for grandma and grandpa. Do you like to bake cookies?
