A is for Angels Are Among Us
A is for Angels Are Among Us
Angels are among us but we don’t always see them. I so believe in Angels and I actually had an occasion to meet them when I visited heaven back in 2000. I watched from up above as things were happening down below. After I was told it wasn’t my time, I came back to earth. Some people can not and will not believe, but as for me, I know it happened. This is a blog a wrote about my experience. Visiting With The Angels
I have always had a collection of beautiful Angel statues, so many were given to me as gifts and I treasure them dearly. Some of my Angels have special meaning, especially the two Angel music globes given to me by two of my grandchildren. Another favorite from my granddaughter is the clear crystal and purple delicate angels the spin around.
I found a unique Indian angel statue at a flea market in Indiana and knew I had to have it. Most of my Angels have been gifts, I haven’t actually purchased many. I think that’s what makes them so extra special.
These are just a few from my collection, some are crystal, some are porcelain and glass. I also have some Angels from the Willow collection which are made from wood.
But I have one Angel that lives in my heart forever. My mom passed away in 2000 and how I miss her. There are times I can still here her talking to me when I go out to the garden. Mom is an Angel I can not see but I know she is watching over and guiding me every day.
A piece of black construction paper and a pin is how my granddaughter made this beautiful drawing of an Angel at Christmas. My youngest granddaughter made the paper plate Angel when she was about three years old. It’s things like this that mean so much to me an I will treasure my paper Angels forever.
This beautiful Angel is actually a Christmas tree ornament. I dear friend from when I was a teenager surprised me with it. The colors rotate and it’s so lovely that I have it on display all year long. It’s much to beautiful to pack it away and only bring it out once a year.
Of course, no collection would be complete without stuffed animals. When my youngest granddaughter was a baby, she would always cuddle with Angel Bear when she visited. One day, with big eyes, she told me she loved Angel Bear and wanted to take her home. So I let her pick which Angel Bear she wanted and she choose one like the bottom bears but with gold wings. Gold Angel Bear would always be with her to cuddle.
I never realized the stories I have from each of my Angels. They are all so special, just like the people who gave them to me. This Angel, from my grandson, is always with us in the truck. I truly believe in Angels and we all have a guardian Angel to help us get through rough times, tough times or just to guide us everyday.
This is my first blog for the A to Z April Blog Challenge The challenge is to write a blog starting with the first letter of the alphabet on day one and continue through the month every day except Sunday. There are just the right number of letters as the number of days in the month. So tomorrow I will blog about letter B. See you tomorrow!
