7 Steps to Mommy’s Birthday Painting
Can you believe another week has gone by already? It’s Friday Story Time by Lia again and I want to share the beautiful gift I made for my mommy’s birthday. These are the 7 steps to mommy’s birthday painting.
I started with a blank canvas and added two pink handprints. Then I did the same but with purple paint. Look at my purple, it was so fun to paint my hand and pop it on the canvas!
After my handprints dried, I painted stems on each flower and made grass along the bottom. I love painting and this was such a fun project.
Look at the little hearts I painted in the middle of each handprint! Now they are looking like flowers! After looking at the painting I decided it needed something more. Hmmm, what should I add?? I KNOW!!! I’ll put a few ladybugs in the grass!! I carefully put little dots on the body and made little heads with a black marker.
Mama helped me write the message and I signed my name with the date. But it still needed one more thing. The finishing touch was the sun peeping out of the corner! Since I created this in Lia’s Sunshine Studio, I had to add some sunshine!
Look I made a flower garden for mommy! I gave mommy her present on her birthday last Sunday, March 7th and she loved it. Happy Birthday mommy, I love you!
Mommy has a garden on the wall! For her birthday last year, I painted her a flower and butterfly and now she has her new painting hanging next to her other one! You can see how much bigger my hand is in just a year! I’m growing like flowers! This is the blog I wrote last year – http://themarthareview.com/mommys-birthday-surprise/ Can you tell mommy loves pink and purple?
But I made another surprise for mama! Today is mama’s birthday so I made her a drawing with my hands and turned them into a big heart! I drew the heart all by myself!
Mama loves Angels and mommy and I got her this beautiful glass Angel with a blue rose inside. I even made the hearts and signed my name L-I-A! Mama was so surprised and love it! Happy Birthday Mama, mommy and I love you!!!
So my Friday Story Time blog started with 7 steps to mommy’s birthday painting and ended with a surprise for mama’s birthday too! See you next time with another fun Friday Story Time by Lia!!
Happy birthday, Martha! You and Lia are so creative. I love your art. So tactile. I want to try it myself but I don’t think I can quite put my hand in the paint. 🙂
Oh come on Lily, you can do it! LOL That’s what Lia loves the most! She actually paints her hand with the paint brush! Mommy loved her flowers!
It’s lovely, Lia!
Lia says thank you Angie! She loves being creative!
How fun!! She must also love when you put her paintings on your blog!!
Lia loves being creative and painting is one of your favorite crafts Kate! Actually I’m turning her blogs into a book so when she’s older I can give her the book of memories.
Happy Birthday, Martha. What lovely paintings Lia made.
Thank you Brenda! Lia loves to paint, we just got her a painting easel so she can take it on her hikes and paint!
Happy late late birthday to your mommy. 🙂
Thanks Amanda, I’ll let her know.
