World’s Best Husband
WORLD’S BEST HUSBAND
Okay, I’m taking a poll with all my female bloggers and readers who have a husband or significant other. If a male is reading this, it will be interesting to hear your comments as how much you help out. Many husbands have “their” chores while the wife has “her” chores. How many share everything when it comes to housework, yard work and even grocery shopping? I have come to the conclusion that I have the World’s Best Husband!!
This is a list of some of the things my hubby does without having to be asked, but there is so much more:
All the yard work and even when I go out to help, he tells me I’m going to get bit up and go back inside. He even helps our little neighbor lady out by keeping her lawn mowed and edged.
Takes care of both vehicles and bikes, keeping them in tip top shape, super clean and waxed.
Hubby even does the vacuuming and even washes the windows!
Now this is where he really tops the list of being a super-duper husband. I love to cook and of course that means lots of pots and pans to wash. Hubby does all the dishes, even though we have a dishwasher he never uses it.
Besides doing these things, he has always taken care of me and pampers me. How many husbands do you know who still opens the door for their wife or brings her a rose every day from the garden? It may be a beautiful stemmed rose in a vase or a small rose bud sitting on my computer when I come down in the morning or a lovely variety of full roses and buds. He even makes me a glass of sweet tea when we get home from work everyday.
My hubby is constantly doing something inside or outside and even with his debilitating Rheumatoid Arthritis and severe pain, he keeps going. I call him my Energizer Bunny or Timex, he just keeps on going.
Now you’re probably wonder what the heck do I do after work and weekends. Well I’ll tell you, I blog! LOL I’m on the computer either blogging, doing my earning sites or helping others out with decorating ideas. But as I mentioned, I do love to cook and love to make delicious meals that my hubby loves!
There’s one more thing about my hubby, he’s a mind reader! I can be thinking of going somewhere, whether it be out to eat, the store or somewhere to visit and he seems to know even before I mention anything!
We are only 21 days away from July 29th when we will be renewing our vows for our 50th Wedding Anniversary! We’ll be going “home” to the beautiful St. Anthony’s Catholic Church where we got married on July 29, 1967.
You are one lucky lady Martha…
Indeed I am Katherine! Thanks for visiting!
you guys are literal goals!
pop is definitely world’s best husband.. and dad.. and grandpa.. and great grandpa <3
Thanks Alexandra, you will make your own goals too! Pop is the best for sure! Love you!!
What a beautiful post. 🙂 We need more positives out there about wonderful husbands… and wives as well. You’re setting a great example!
I have always said if there were more positive posts, this world might have a chance. So many murders, beatings, kidnapping in the news, but I know there are as many good things if people would just post them. We need to get the ratio of good over the bad! Thanks for visiting Ruthanne.
Aww, beautiful story. I don’t think we will make it 50 years but that is only because we got married so late in life. Although he has been a part of my life since we was 15 and 16. Though he is a great husband and works full time and since I have our son and David can’t read or write I do all the homework with Charlie and David does all the housework including cooking. So it frees me up to blog while they are son during the day so I can help Charlie at night. So I say we are truly Blessed and I wouldn’t trade either of our husbands for a pot of gold. Thank you God for bringing them into our lives.
What a wonderful family you have Glenda! It’s so great when I see spouses helping out and I love your blogs about Charlie! You have one special and loving family!
Wow! What a wonderful post. I have been with my significant other (now my wife legally) for nearly 28 years. We share in the overall responsibilities by doing what we each do best. Like you, I feel very blessed to have found my true life partner.
I love hearing how loved ones share in everything Kathleen! I think that sure true love and caring! 28 years, yes you are very blessed! Thanks for visiting.
That is so, so sweet! My Mom had RA so imagining your husband doing all that with RA – he is a treasure, and an inspiration. Hoping you two have the happiest 50th anniversary EVER.
Seeing him working and just get through each day with his severe pain is such an inspiration to many Alana. I feel his pain when he comes in from yard work, his entire body is full of muscle spasms and cramps. He just won’t give up and I love him so much but hate to see the pain. Sorry about your mom, RA is so much more than OA and some don’t realize that. Thanks for visiting.
I love my husband. He does help out around the house although using after I ask him too! But yours definitely wins the husband of the year award!
I’m sure most husbands/wives help out but from the day I met Rich, almost 52 years ago, he has been so polite, caring, loving and helpful to everyone. As my granddaughter left in her comment, he is not only the best husband, but also father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend! Thanks for stopping by Patricia.
