Wordless Wednesday Bluebird

Today I’m sharing a beautiful bluebird for Wordless Wednesday. Early yesterday morning I was sitting outside just watching and listening to the birds sing. I love when it’s so quiet and all I hear are the birds softly chirping.

This is a very long video but just listen to it while looking at the bluebird picture and you can almost feel like you’re sitting in the backyard watching this little guy.

The sun was peeking through the trees and when I snapped a picture, the rays turned into diamonds. It reminds me of fireworks.

As I was watching the birds fly by and go from feeder to feeder, this gorgeous male bluebird flew over to the bluebird house with a mouthful of nesting materials. It’s amazing to watch them collect twigs, feathers and even Snowball’s fur after I’ve brushed him. The mama bluebird is inside the house setting up her new home. I love his vibrant color. Both these pictures were taken with my Nikon P1000 on Shutter priority mode and no editing was done.

BUT WAIT!! Just as I was getting ready to share my blog, I looked outside and both the male and female bluebird was checking out their house! This is the female checking things out.

Meanwhile, the male bluebird had already stopped by and was inside the house.

So there you have it, Wordless Wednesday Bluebird with a lot of words! Of course I couldn’t leave this beautiful dew covered rose out of my blog today. The dew was so fine it looked like a sugar coating on the petals of this rose. We’re in the final week of the April UBC and I think it’s safe to say I’ll make it! I do have a lot to do next month though. I’ve hardly had time to reply to the over 200 comments so my next challenge will be to read and respond to all the comments everyone has left. Thank you all so much for reading, sharing and commenting on my blogs during this hectic month.

What a pretty bird. And how lucky are they to find this bird house in your yard! Snowball’s leftover fur must be perfect for their nest! We don’t have bluebirds in Switzerland, as far as I know.

  3. Those pictures are so sweet! And it did make me feel like I was watching it all with you. And I wish I could be. Sitting with you during this time in your life.

  4. This little blue bird reminds me of the talk my grandpa and I had tonight. He was telling me that his bluebird was going to have babies. God’s animals are amazing.
