Wordless Wednesday Almost

It’s Wordless Wednesday almost, as I try hard to keep quiet and just post pictures. But that doesn’t seem to work for me. LOL This is my latest tattoo I got for Christmas 2025. It’s Rich’s and my Zodiac signs, he’s Leo the Lion, I’m Pisces the fish. I love the way the lion is looking at the fish, the same way Rich would look at me with his loving eyes. I know he is still watching the same way from up above.

I’ve had all my tattoos done for special reasons and dates. It stated with a simple pair of Angel wings in memory of Rich’s 78th birthday on July 31, 2024. For Father’s Day June 2025 I had the rose and Rich’s love note added, then for his 79th memory birthday I had the butterflies added.

Each tattoo is special to me just like our love was and still is.

So precious – I love the way the lion and fish are gazing at each other!
My son in law has some beautiful tatoos, including Koi!
Mine is small – dancing fairy dragons!
That’s what caught my eye too Nadya when I was trying to find the perfect image. It’s the way Rich and I always looked at each other. I’d love to see your dancing fairy dragons, I was probably one of the oldest people to get a tattoo, I got my first one when I was 75 years old!
Love all your tatoos, Martha. But I can’t help feeling the ouch! though.
Thanks Lily but the actually didn’t heard too bad. I felt the needles on the Zodiac one the most because of all the color but I put a lidocaine patch on for about 20 minutes before and that takes some of the ouch away! But I figure the bit of pain is worth it.
There’s a clear thread of memory and meaning running through each tattoo. They read like chapters. A powerful way to carry memory forward.
That’s a great way to describe them Tamara. Yes they are all chapters from my memory bank. I wonder what will be next.
I love the designs in your tattoos, especially the lion and the fish. The thing that amazes me is that you did them for special reasons and dates, which is very sweet of you to do to show your love and to remember your beloved hubby.
Thanks Danwil! Most people plan their tattoos but I as I came up with an idea, I just said, “put it there” and this is the result. I do want to come up with something to tie the rose and butterflies together, maybe a swirling vine with leaves and hearts.
