When God Called Mom Home
When God Called Mom Home
We are a gift from up above,
God sent us down with all his love.
There comes a time that he will say,
I need you home with me today.
All the memories of the past,
Forever in our hearts will last.
We cherish all the memories
That you have left behind.
For in our hearts we hold you,
Sweet, loving and so kind.
This is a poem I wrote when my mom passed away 10 days before her 80th birthday on January 15, 2000. I miss her so much but hold tight all the wonderful memories she left with me.
Beautiful poem, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Jennifer, I miss my mom so much but I know she is watching over us from up above.
This reminds me of the friendship our mothers shared for many years!
Yes, our mom’s had a wonderful friendship and I loved your mom! I still have all the memories of my Brownie and Girl Scout years with your mom. She was a special person indeed. Thanks for visiting my blog Carol!
